Consumer Complaint: I am writing to request the deletion of specific entries in my file, which are listed in the attached report. As a victim of identity theft, I did not authorize these changes. In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission, I have reported this identity theft and have included copies of the FTC 's Identity Theft Affidavit. It appears that certain activities about my account contravene multiple sections of the U.S. Code Law, including : 15 U.S. Code 1681 a ( 4 ) - Consumer Right to Privacy. You are reporting fraudulent accounts that aren't mine, infringing upon my privacy rights. 15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction. This law states that transactions are not included in a consumer report. Thus, I demand the removal of all late payments from my report. FDCPA 807 - Misleading false reporting. The information you are reporting suggests I applied for these inquiries & accounts, which is inaccurate and misleading. 15 USC 1681 n - Civil liability for willful noncompliance. You accepted credit information about me without verifying its accuracy, leading to willful noncompliance. 18 U.S. Code 1028A - Aggravated identity theft. You shared my information with creditors without my consent, which constitutes aggravated identity theft. 15 U.S. Code 6802 ( b ) 1 ( ) ( a ) ( A ) ( B ) ( C ) - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information. You didn't disclose to me that I had the right to opt-out of this information being shared. And several other violations, which I have detailed in the attached document. I kindly request that you adhere to 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2, which requires you to complete this reinvestigation and block or update all information resulting from identity theft within four days of receipt of this letter. Failure to comply will lead to criminal and civil liabilities as outlined in my attached invoice. I am the original creditor, and I did not authorize, benefit from, or consent to the accounts and inquiries listed in the attached report. I filed FTC report # XXXX regarding this matter. Please remove all fraudulent accounts from my credit report immediately. According to FCRA 605B, this information must be blocked until the investigation is concluded. Furthermore, as per 15 U.S.C. 1681g, I demand that you disclose all documents recorded and retained in your file at the time of the request concerning the accounts that you are reporting on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/24 I contacted Equifax as I was unable to access the account that I created for the purpose of having control over freezing/unfreezing my account, and to review my credit report. The problem was sent to tech support as it kept telling me that " We are temporarily unable to complete this request. '' I also tried to recover my account, but the message was always " We didn't find an account associated with your information. The data was more than triple checked. The person who helped me, XXXX, said that this should be resolved by tech, and kept saying Sorry Sorry continuously. The tech support then sent an email form letter that said they resolved the issue. XX/XX/24 I have tried this XXXX to sign in. The same thing keeps happening. I am beyond frustrated and angry as so much time was spent yesterday on this problem. I spoke with two agents and told them that I was also very frustrated and angry. One person named " XXXX '' hung up on me after say sorry over and over again.. The other one named " XXXX '' told me that she was sorry, and that she referring my problem to the tech department ( again ). I checked and rechecked. Note all agents told me to try XXXX XXXX as XXXX and XXXX were not appropriate browsers for Equifax. Of note that is not noted on their website. Also, XXXX told me that my name needed to be in all caps. I did that, even though it is not noted to do so on their website. It made no difference. Finally, I was able to get my XXXX chrome to load up on my old laptop. I was excited. I tried to sign in using the information that all agents said was correct. I kept getting the same two messages as noted above. Now I get to wait for the form letter from the tech department. Oh joy. The source of my anger is that this company did not maintain adequate security and thus what is known as Equifax Hack, and to this day, all of my financial data is now sitting on the dark web. I never received a settlement from that angst. Now I am stuck in a dystopian situation where the error messages are just piling up.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2023, I entered into a new agreement with XXXX XXXX to assist in paying my card down due to a financial hardship of XXXX while not affecting my credit report and FICO score. The agreement online stated that I would not be marked late or be charged late payments during the agreed terms of {$120.00} per month for 60 months and I was required to sign up for e-statements which I never received in the mail to see what my balance due or notifying me that I was considered past due status. My mailing address and email address are current with XXXX XXXX. Since then, I have been paying the agreed upon amount of {$120.00} per month and XXXX XXXX has been reporting me 30 and 60 days late on my credit report. I only received notification that I was considered past due when I applied for a XXXX loan to buy a home in XXXX. XXXX XXXX did not inconspicuously explain that I would be reported late on my credit report when I entered into the new agreement terms back in XX/XX/2023. My understanding was that entering into the new agreement would show good faith in paying the monthly agreed amount and reporting on time payments to XXXX XXXX. XXXX has not sent written notification, monthly statements or reached out by phone since the new agreed terms that I was marked past due under the new agreed terms and leads to misunderstanding by consumers that they are paying as agreed.
