Consumer Complaint: I am concerned about the validity and accuracy of your recent investigation of this account thats reported in my credit report. You responded by saying that Equifax has completed its investigation, including contacting the furnisher of the information, where applicable. " XXXX XXXX EQUIFAX VERIFIED THAT THIS ITEM BELONGS TO YOU. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HAS BEEN PROVIDED FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE REGARDING THIS ITEM. " On XX/XX/2023 ( please listen to recording XXXX company ) I was told by XXXX of your representatives XXXX in XXXX department and XXXX in XXXX Department XXXX XXXX why I have not received anything in writing showing validation of documentation with signature and date signed both reps who clearly stated to me that Equifax would only use computer system to verify information and they DO NOT speak with creditor or collection company to validate anything in writing. So, I find it funny that you claim to verify all the accounts I disputed listed below when again, let me repeat, you have NOT provided me with a copy of ANY original documentation required under Section XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) ( A ) and Section XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) ( A ) ( a consumer contract with my signature on it ). XXXX. CC BANK/OPPLOAN ( Please block this fraudulent information per sections XXXX, XXXX ( f ) and XXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I am requesting that the following fraudulent account be deleted and blocked from my credit file. XXXX. BANKRUPTCY ( XXXX could not verify so how is it your verified ) XXXX. XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX Your company is in violation of XXXX XXXX. XXXX. Your company KNOWS for a fact that you are required under the FCRA to have properly verified the accuracy of an account listed on my credit report with physical documentation. I am requesting validation from you pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices FCRA XXXX ( XXXX U.S.C. XXXX ) ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( XXXX ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation I want verification on all accounts listed showing documentation you claim to have. I want a response within 15 days of receipt of this dispute. I expected and updated report to be sent to me.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2023 I've sent out a follow up dispute dispute to Equifax regarding an account that's reporting inaccurately on my consumer report. Equifax responded that this information was verified and accurate in which still today XX/XX/2023 there are multiple inaccuracies reporting. I firmly believe that it is their duty to fully investigate a consumer 's dispute and provide fair and equitable results. If they investigated this account how is there still inaccuracies reporting? This account reports to all 3 major reporting agencies which all have different information reporting which violates 15 U.S. Code 1681- Congressional findings and statement of purpose. The payment history that Equifax is reporting is different than what XXXX and XXXX is reporting in which they all should be the same which is a billing error. I asked Equifax to provide all of the documents thats verified this account and nowhere in the agreement with the creditor was there an option for me to opt out of this information being shared with anybody in which according to15 U.S. Code 6802 - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information, subsection ( b ) Opt out, I have a right to exercise that non disclosure option. I am requesting to exercise my option to opt out of this information being reported to anyone. They are not being compliant by reporting inaccurate information even after sending in multiple dispute letters and responding to me " Verified ''. I never gave Equifax the consent to furnish a consumer report of me containing my personal information nor did I give them permission to share my information with anybody. Included in this complaint is a copy of my follow up dispute letter, my final dispute letter, a copy of my consumer report with the account disputed. Violations committed by Equifax : 15 U.S. Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports 15 U.S. Code 1681 - Congressional findings and statement of purpose 15 U.S. Code 1681e - Compliance procedures 15 U.S. Code 6802 - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information 15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy 15 U.S. Code 1666 - Correction of billing errors

Consumer Complaint: Good morning, I am filing this complaint due to inaccurate reporting and a Chargeoff for my consumer report for XXXX XXXX. The first thing I noticed was the date opened was different. XXXX reported the date opened as XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX and Equifax reported the date as XX/XX/XXXX as the date opened. The date last reported was different as well. XXXX and XXXX reported the date last reported as XXXX Equifax reported the date last reported was XX/XX/XXXX. Lastly, the date last active was different as well. XXXX reported the date last active as XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX reported the date last active as XX/XX/XXXX. Equifax reported the date last active as XX/XX/XXXX. These items are violations of my consumer rights pursuant to 15 USC 1681. As for the Chargeoff on my consumer report this is considered a certificate of indebtness. This is also considered income being reported on my consumer report. Income can not be reported on my consumer report. I also added the Privacy Act of 1974. The Privacy Act of 1974 ( Pub. XXXX XXXX XXXX ( United States ) XXXX, XXXX XXXX. XXXX, enacted XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX. XXXX ), a United States federal law, establishes a Code of Fair Information Practice that governs the collection, maintenance, use, and dissemination of personally identifiable information about individuals that is maintained in systems of records by federal agencies. A system of records is a group of records under the control of an agency from which information is retrieved by the name of the individual or by some identifier assigned to the individual. The Privacy Act requires that agencies give the public notice of their systems of records by publication in the Federal Register. The Privacy Act prohibits the disclosure of information from a system of records absent of the written consent of the subject individual, unless the disclosure is pursuant to one of twelve statutory exceptions. The Act also provides individuals with a means by which to seek access to and amendment of their records and sets forth various agency record-keeping requirements. Additionally, with people granted the right to review what was documented with their name, they are also able to find out if the " records have been disclosed '' and are also given the right to make corrections
