Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Reporting company used your report improperly
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to address a critical matter regarding the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the egregious violations committed by XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. It is with great concern that I highlight the protracted delay in resolving these issues, particularly in relation to my Equifax credit report. Under 15 USC 1681 section 602, my right to privacy has been unequivocally breached by these creditors. The severity of this situation is further emphasized by 15 USC 1681 section 604a section 2, which explicitly outlines the imperative of safeguarding consumer privacy. Additionally, as per 15 USC 1666b a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose, these creditors are in direct violation by reporting late payments without adhering to my written instructions under an open-end consumer credit plan. I am disappointed by the lack of expedited attention to this issue specifically on my Equifax report. I urgently request Equifax to prioritize this dispute, conduct a thorough investigation, and promptly rectify my Equifax credit report. Your immediate and decisive action in resolving this matter is both expected and appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: Your efficiency and prompt attention to correcting some of the adverse information previously stated on my credit file is appreciated, yet there are still accounts that need to be addressed again and corrected immediately. The three credit bureaus must verify these accounts in accordance with Sections 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). It is not acceptable to report these accounts as unconfirmed information without validating them within the legally required time range. Consumer Complaint: I am beyond frustrated with the way your bureau has handled my identity theft case. I have done everything by the book with disputing these accounts, yet your bureau continues to make absurd claims that the documents Ive submitted are not valid. I know the consumer laws and the courts are very lenient with the banks and credit reporting agencies, but I refuse to let XXXX get away with their incompetence any longer. Ive contacted the bank in regards to this matter, and they claimed its been resolved. Ive contacted the law enforcement agency and filed a report and affidavit, and they have confirmed that my identity theft report is valid. And lastly, Ive contacted the credit reporting agencies. The two other credit bureaus have removed the accounts per legal requirement, but your bureau feels Im not following all the steps. This is unacceptable. I demand that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) look closely at this case and hold XXXX accountable for their actions. I have filed my identity theft report with a law enforcement agency, and identitytheft.gov is a federal law enforcement agency. There is no excuse for your bureau 's incompetence. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. For the record, I am the person submitting this complaint. I have not hired a third party, nor is anyone helping me. I demand that this matter is handled with a sense of urgency. All this grief of identity theft and not having any access to my credit is creating a ton of emotional and physical distress. Its causing a great deal of strain in my work and personal lives. I am literally losing my mind because I have no other recourse.

Consumer Complaint: I am listing accounts below that have been reported inaccurately on my credit report. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and as a gesture of respect to the Federal Trade Commission Committee on accuracy and completeness of credit information I am formally writing in today to dispute negative information appearing on my credit. This incorrect information is greatly hindering me from getting the credit score I deserve and hopefully, this letter will resolve all the issues on my credit. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit.
