Consumer Complaint: I complained over three times, midland ( MCM claims they closed out since they never got info on more detail back. MCM claim they sent out letter recently XX/XX/2020, never came. reported another issued but they are all lies. In mean time they fraudulent report about a {$440.00} debt from XXXX. they MCM was asked to show us proof of debt. the web site information show zero evidence of debt. its too easy to pretend letter was sent and not send letter. I told them to certify letter, to fax to email and they refuse to comply to my simple demand. Bottom line is I paid my debt. XXXX billed me for magazines I never ordered. XXXX was notified yet they billed and punished added interest all up to {$440.00} of extortion, which I thought was illegal. I thought it was being criminally bullied. Please help me survive this insane attack. Unrelated case this same con artist company tried the same thing with a debit of {$310.00} from XXXX XXXX. after years of false reporting they stopped reporting. they continued to still collect on debts in XXXX XXXX what debt? I want this issue dealt with. I want a separate apology for this unscrupulous business practice. Also a penalty fee of the same {$310.00} MCM was trying to steal from my family # CROOKS.

Consumer Complaint: Midland LLC/ Encore has repeatedly changed the amount that they claim that I owe that is currently in collections on my credit report and every month and it has also been increasing by the month while in collections which is illegal. When i called them to discuss this I am being told that they no longer deal with my account and it is now in the hands of a law firm XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. Adding monthly to an account in collections that is no longer being handled by the company at hand is not legal.

Consumer Complaint: I received a notice of involuntary lien to my property for a debt owed by a relative. The relative has never lived in the property. Nor does he have ownership of the property. I am not sure how my relative became associated with my house. I did not co-sign for my relative. So, I am not legally responsible for the debt. I contacted the collection agency and explained this but I was asked to provide proof of ownership for the property along with a copy of my social security. I submitted the information and was told the information would get forward the legal team for review. I asked to get the contact information for the person that would handle the matter and was told to just call back in a week. There was no clear answer as to how soon the matter would get resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Not only did midland funding fail to contact me in 15 days of reporting which is a violation of the FDCPA THIS COLLECTION WAS CAUSED FROM IDENTITY THEFT. This company has violated my consumer right by failing to verify this debt, and adding it my three credit reports which has damaged my character and prevented me from seeking finical assistance during this pandemic.
