Consumer Complaint: Dear Collector : My credit report shows a collection from your agency. I was never notified of this collection. Whats more, I do not believe this debt is accurate. Under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, I have the right to request and receive validation of the debt. Therefore, please provide me with a copy of all the following : 1 ) An explanation of what this alleged account balance is for. 2 ) A complete Audit Trail calculation of this balance, including the complete payment history on this account, so I have proof that the amount is correct. 3 ) Documentation that shows I agreed to pay this debt with my signature and documentation shows i gave you permission to have my information and paperwork showing i gave you authorization to report this to my credit report. No consent to you having my information and unauthorized use of my social security number is identity theft and you will be reported for such. 4 ) The Agreement that grants you authority to collect on this alleged debt. 5 ) A copy of your state license, including license number that give you rights to collect in my state. 6. ( The purchase agreement ) 7. ( Swear under penalty of perjury you were present during the alleged debt ) Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Also you have commited the following FDCPA Violations : 15 U.S. Code? 1692d-Harassment and abuse A de bt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. ( 1 ) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property of any person. You harming my reputation which is a violation. 15 U.S. Code? 1692e-False or misleading representations A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt. ( 2 ) The false representation of ( A ) the character, amount, or legal status of any debt. This debt is reporting falsely. 15 U.S. Code? 1692f-Unfair practices A debt collector may not use unfair or unconscionable means to collect or attempt to collect any debt. ( 8 ) Using any language or symbol, other than the debt collectors address, on any envelope when communicating with a consumer by use of the mails or by telegram, except that a debt collector may use his business name if such name does not indicate that he is in the debt collection business. You used symbols on envelopes which violated the law. 15 U.S. Code? 1692g-Validation of debts ( a ) Notice of debt ; contentsWithin five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing ( 2 ) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed ; I am the creditor under 15 u.s code 1692a so the debt is owed to me. 15 U.S. Code 1692j - Furnishing certain deceptive forms ( a ) It is unlawful to design, compile, and furnish any form knowing that such form would be used to create the false belief in a consumer that a person other than the creditor of such consumer is participating in the collection of or in an attempt to collect a debt such consumer allegedly owes such creditor, when in fact such person is not so participating. I am not participating in the collection of this alleged debt. Under 15 U.S. Code 1692k - Civil liability I Demand 1,000 dollars for each violation as you have caused severe damage to my character. ( a ) Amount of damagesExcept as otherwise provided by this section, any debt collector who fails to comply with any provision of this subchapter with respect to any person is liable to such person in an amount equal to the sum of ( 1 ) any actual damage sustained by such person as a result of such failure ; ( 2 ) ( A ) in the case of any action by an individual, such additional damages as the court may allow, but not exceeding {$1000.00}. Stop contacting me about this or any other matter you have. cease and desist ASAP and delete this account from my credit reports, except to provide me with accurate validation of this debt by U.S. mail only. I also submitted this letter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), My State Attorney General Office and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to have confirmation of proof if you respond without the proper validation request or not in the 15 day timeframe you have. You have 15 days from the date of this letter to respond with all items requested or this is considered an insufficient t validation response and this item must be removed immediately or i will seek litigation for Monetary damages along with the violations you already committed. Consumer Complaint: I have an active complaint against Midland about the way they have reported an account ( complaint XXXX ). Since I filed this complaint they have repeatedly flagged my account to the reporting agencies as a collection- as if it is a new collection and it is coming up as a negative alert with all agencies. I will attach what alerts I have gotten from XXXX as an example. Please note it is not an alert that they have noted my dispute, added wording etc just that they keep reporting a collection. Prior to the issue I lodged the complaint about, they did not do this AT ALL. I believe they are retaliating against me for filing a complaint with CFPB as a form of intimidation to get me to pay on a debt I do not believe to be mine and have request proof through your agency

Consumer Complaint: I received notification in XXXX of XXXX that the debt was no longer owed due to the absuive tactics that the two companies I will list below attempted in hopes of receiving money. In XXXX of XXXX the XXXX account was closed. Amount was decreased by {$980.00} I then started receiving multiple calls per day before and after the XXXX and XXXX limit, threatening legal action from XXXXXXXX XXXX Collectors. I submitted a claim last year against this agency and my disputed information was found accurate. In XX/XX/XXXX, the account was closed and the debt was removed from my report. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX sold the account to Midland Credit Management, I have received multiple phone calls again, tried to contact the number on the paper multiple times to ask why this debt is again being reported on my credit report. Now it has lowered my credit score and now there is a {$1000.00} amount on my report. I do not owe this debt, I have been harassed for over two years. I thought I had this taken care of with my previous dispute and accurate conclusion to that.

Consumer Complaint: In 2018 I was diagnosed earlier before with XXXX XXXX that has made my life very difficult. I got married to a lady who exploited me and manipulated me into using my credit cards indiscriminately to purchase items for her family and herself without my permission. This involving many credit cards including a car purchase plunged me into a debit of more than {$50000.00}. I have been trying to resolve this with my credit companies since I started making improvement on my health and requesting a concession stating that these expenses were fraudulent. I am divorced now and she walked away scot free. I am now dealing with the credit companies and collections.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX stopped sending us bills and by the time we realized it 3 months later they had turned us into a collection agency. We are paying them {$100.00} a month for a {$1400.00} debt. Now theyre calling multiple times a day including early morning and late night. The message says its XXXX XXXX or XXXX at MCM. He leaves this number to call. XXXX Theyre harassing me all day and now want it paid in full instead of the {$100.00} a month we originally agreed on. Any help would be much appreciated.
