Consumer Complaint: I have NOT been in contact with this company except to file a complaint via CFPB. I am requesting for this company to provide a ( Debt Validation Letter ) signed contract by me proving that they have a legal right to collect on this debt. More importantly to provide the original contract signed by me, authorizing the original company to sell the debt to a third-party collection company. My legal rights are being violated by this Collection Agency because there is no contract signed by me proving a business agreement and they have not provided me with the Original signed contract with my authorization. Reporting a debt without a legal agreement is in direct violation of my rights as a consumer.

Issue: False statements or representation
Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: My compliant is not only that the amount reported to the credit bureau may be incorrect but that they have misrepresented the information on the account which has led to miscalculating how long it remains on my credit report. Therefore, I am not sure that any of the information is correct since the account has been clearly reaged before reporting to XXXX credit bureau. Now causing it to be on my credit report for longer than 7 years. History : The original debt of {$300.00} for a XXXX XXXX XXXX managed by XXXX XXXX. Due to financial and medical hardship, I became delinquent with this account in the summer of XXXX ( around XXXX ). It went into collection status and although I tried to make periodic payments to the collection agency which totalled to about {$900.00}, there was still a remaining balance due to their continued increases in the amount due which was very questionable when the original debt was only {$300.00}. However, I believe XXXX may have held it for a long time causing the tremendous increase in the amount due. The other issue is that when Midland bought the debt in XX/XX/XXXX they may have reaged the delinquency date by reporting it as a new delinquency account after buying the debt from XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. As a result, it makes it look like the delinquency date started in XX/XX/XXXX rather than in XXXX of XXXX when the account was with XXXX bank. As a result, this has manipulated the date of removal and/or how long it stays on my credit report with XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Midland credit management sued me. I never received the copy of the subpoena. The only information that I was give is that it given to my mother at my house. The problem is, is that my mother does not live with, nor did she accept a subpoena on my behalf. I am the sole owner of my home, my mother has maybe been here 5 times in the past 5 years. I believe that they got into court without me showing up to win by default.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: Some time before XX/XX/2022, I bought 2 bras from XXXX XXXX using their XXXX XXXX issued charge card. I paid them 1 month late for the bras as I was considering returning them for poor quality. They charged me late fees through XX/XX/2022, of which I paid ONE, given that I was one month late on the payment. They continued to accrue charges until XX/XX/2022, then charged off the debt and sold it to Midland Credit Management. In previous discussions with XXXX XXXX I explained that I paid them all that was due. They would not negotiate and the debt is now {$450.00}, all of which is bogus late and other fees.

Consumer Complaint: The amount in collections continues to increase which is more than the original debt that was bought by this midland credit company. The amount owed increases beyond the original debt amount which is inaccurate and I want the debt removed from my credit report immediately for criminal practices. I keep getting calls at all times of the day and night which is causing me mental and physical stress.
