Consumer Complaint: I sent notice to DISCOVER to OPT OUT of credit reporting as the CFPB published an article that stated, credit reporting is optional. I have a right to privacy and my privacy is my constitutional right as established in Griswold v. Connecticut ( 1965 ). The Supreme Court ruled that the right to privacy is a constitutional right. I informed DISCOVER that I want to opt out of the sharing of my personal private account and financial information to third parties XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These corporations are not affiliated with DISCOVER. Additionally, when I submitted an application for the above mentioned account, that application was my security collateral which funded this account. The balance is in a positive amount which indicates a credit that is due to my principals account. Thus, this account has been falsely reported as past due. This is defaming my character and causing me and my family tremendous harm. ( account ending XXXX )

Consumer Complaint: I want to file a complaint to DISCOVER BANK. I found inaccurate information in my credit report. I tried to fix the issue by sending them several letters through the mail ; however, I was not satisfied with the results. The account was not verified. Inaccurate information, such as Payment status, payment history, date opened, and status are still being reported. My rights were violated. According to 15 U.S.C. Section 602, I have the right to privacy, and 15 U.S.C. Section 604 A Section 2 states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions.

Consumer Complaint: My account was closed without notice or warning. I messaged support and they said the account was closed on XX/XX/20 because they never recieved verification they requested. They also said I should recieve a letter within 7 days of closure, but it has now been 10 days and I am just finding out about the closure from a third party credit monitor without any form of communication from Discover. I have documentation from XXXX of this year proving Discover recieved the verification requested, confirmed they reviewed it, unfroze my account and have not sent any form of communication about the matter since.

Consumer Complaint: Again, I am a victim of identity theft and reported to Discover my 2 accounts were breached online allowing access to my information including username and password. REPLACEMENT cards sent to me are invalid. Guessing the criminal has reported lost/stolen again to receive valid credit cards. Requested also last 3-6 months of statements from both accounts to be mailed to me. I will not use online services any longer since that's how I was breached. DISCOVER would not mail me my 2 replacement credit cards that I again reported 2 days ago, stating they could not verify my identity. Unbelievable! A criminal using MY IDENTITY is able to report lost/stolen cards and get replacement cards mailed but I can not. I kind of believe my numerous phone calls to Discover may have also been compromised by forwarding my calls to some unknown person posing as Discover.
