Therefore, you are to present to me with a certificate in testimony that the fraudulent inquiries presents in Exhibit C are in fact compliant and not subterfuge? Consumer Complaint: I did not receive a statement and so Discover is charging me a late fee. Since receiving the statement the coronavirus has taken big hold in our beloved country. The coronavirus has caused me to be unable at the present time to pay the monthly Discover bill and so I asked for forbearance until the coronavirus is under control. I am over 70 years of age and have serious undying medical problems, including XXXX XXXX XXXX and treatment for XXXX XXXX. I am high risk, according to Vice-President Pence and his White House task force. I ask for temporary suspension of billing! It would be cruel indeed for Discover not to agree! Nor may Discover cancel my account!

Consumer Complaint: Thank you for your time in reading this complaint. I have maintained a Discover Card account since XX/XX/XXXX. I have never had a missed payment. I experienced a hospitalization due to emergency XXXX at the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX and was out of the country for the last ten days of XX/XX/XXXX and the first six days of XX/XX/XXXX. Discover maintains that I did not make an autopayment and this is showing as a 30-day late payment on my credit report. I had no knowledge of a missed payment as I received confirmation of each payment. I called Discover on or about XX/XX/XXXX upon returning to the country when I went online to view my payment history and learned that autopayments had not been made even though my payment history on their online portal reflects that the payments were made ( Ex. 1 ). I made an online payment for {$340.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and Discover sent me confirmation that the payment was made ( Ex. 2 ). I assumed that the payment was made and that I had no late payments but, unbeknownst to me, Discover never actually debited my bank account even though they sent me the confirmation set forth in Ex. 2. I then made an additional payment on XX/XX/XXXX ( Ex. 3 ). I viewed my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX and learned that Discover shows that I have a missed payment. This would never have happened had Discover not sent me an email confirmation that the XX/XX/XXXX payment was made ( Ex. 2 ). I have signed up for paperless statements and expect to receive all notifications regarding my account through email or alerts on my account. I never received any email, account notification or regular mail alerting me that the fund were not actually withdrawn from my account. I relied on their email confirmation and assumed that the amount was paid this was not an autopayment, this was me proactively going online, entering bank account information and making a payment. I now have a missed payment on my credit report for the first time. This has caused my credit score to plummet by 60+ points overnight and will have drastic impacts on my life. I would never have experienced this had Discover actually drawn down the funds they confirmed they drew. I relied on this confirmation, was never provided with notice that this was not true, and have suffered harm because of this. I have one simple request that Discover have this late payment removed from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I was told by their agent my credit card is closed and a letter dated XX/XX/20 was sent to me to explain the reason. I never did receive the letter I called them again XX/XX/20, The agent told me the letter was not sent, I was told this time, the letter will be emailed to me within 2 business days. I did not receive it yet. I believe my card was cancelled due to race discrimination and they do not have a legal reason to cancel my card. All I want is a letter of cancellation..

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Discover credit because they advertised the below information : " Annual Percentage Rate ( APR ) for Purchases 0 % intro APR for 14 months from date of account opening. After the intro APR expires, your APR will be 13.49 % to 24.49 % based on your creditworthiness. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. APR for Balance Transfers 0 % intro APR for 14 months from date of first transfer, for transfers under this offer that post to your account by XX/XX/2020. After the intro APR expires, your APR will be 13.49 % to 24.49 % based on your creditworthiness. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. " After I received the card it said the 0 % intro APR is for " 6 months '' not " 14 months ''. I called and I was told it was " based on creditworthiness. '' I stated the advertisement does not say that it states " After the intro APR expires. ''

Consumer Complaint: Attempts to contact Discover Student loans took place on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. My concern is that the company is ignoring me without any concern for my personal consequence as a result of their error. Those consequences are accrued interest on principal paid, bank fees ( 2 ) due to Discovers unauthorized withdraw from my account totaling {$58.00}, and personal distress as it has been over a month without resolution to this problem. It is unacceptable that a giant company such as Discover can treat me this way after profiting so much from me. On XX/XX/XXXX a student loan payment was made directly from a bank account. The website which is suppose to reflect the payment immediately reflected an incorrect and less than authorized amount. An additional payment was scheduled within the same week taking into account the reduced prior payment as acknowledged by Discover. Days later the original payment for the full amount requested not the reduced amount listed on Discovers website posted to my account. This caused the second payment made later in the week to be short and incur the fees mentioned above. These payments were intended to pay the loans in full. " Coincidentally '' this issue has never occurred prior to my first attempt to pay these loans in full. Each time I called Discover to resolve this issue I was assured of full consideration and a return phone call. On XX/XX/XXXX the only progress that had been made was the payment scheduled on XX/XX/XXXX was applied to the loan " correctly ''. I was also told that none of my other concerns as a result of this incident had been addressed at all. I have still not received a phone call from Discover to this day.

Consumer Complaint: Reviewed credit report in XX/XX/2019 and found a Discover Credit Card was opened using my personal information. Contacted credit bureaus to remove information and was denied due to verification from creditor. No evidence of verification was produced. Contacted Discover Financial directly and they are refusing to close account and remove from credit reports. I have requested numerous times to produce evidence and no evidence has been given showing the account belongs to me. I filed a police report, a complaint with the FTC and complaint with IC3 and mailed all the complaints along with a letter and verification information ( License, social security card and current bill ) to both credit bureaus and creditor and the account still has not been removed.

Consumer Complaint: Unauthorized : Discover Payment Protection Identity Theft Over the course of the last 11 years our discover credit card has been charged monthly for the above services that we did not authorize. Contact was made and we were advised they can only refund 6 months of unauthorized charges to the account. They also were unable to locate or provide documents showing these services were agreed to. We were advised the only possible way of obtaining these documents is by filing paper work through a lawsuit. I do not wish to do this but I feel this will be my last option.
