Consumer Complaint: Took wife 's car to the dealership for services picked the car up paid using our DISCOVER CC She was driving to work wife noticed there were issues with said repairs. The car shook violently radiator recovery bottle was empty and tires were not rotated. Paid for rotate n balance-oil change and alignment contacted dealership immediately via phone-voice mails emails and none were replied to so on wifes next day off ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) Had to take her car to a different shop after seeing what they didnt do correctly and things they didn't do at all and the fact they were ignoring all the emails and voice mails I was leaving. Upon having to pay for the same services again I threatened reviews and chargeback to the dealership and I get a response and was told to send them the invoice and they would send me a check ( have email ) Well they never did so I disputed the charge, XXXX closed the dispute saying dealership sent them a signed invoice even with all the documentation I sent showing paying for same items on the same car 5 days later. Service`s were not performed correctly and some not even done. So I call XXXX again on XX/XX/2020 and was told if I sent the email with the service manager telling me about a refund they would dispute that amount. So today XX/XX/2020 I call and I am told its good I sent that in but there is nothing they can do.

Consumer Complaint: I was introduced to the idea of borrowing money for large purchases starting at the age of XXXX for a college tuition. Several years later, I took out a car loan, which was required to provide transportation to and from school and work. Following graduation, I opened a credit to begin planning an engagement ring purchase to propose to my current wife - the love of my life. In every instance mentioned above, borrowing money was necessitated by the amount of money available to me in order for me to exercise my constitutional rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of am happiness. While the standard American Dream of going to college, getting a job, getting married, buying a house, and having kids was deeply engrained in my life growing up, financial education was not. As a result, with only a piggy bank concept of saving, and an extremely basic idea of how interest worked, I was forced to opt in to predatory binding contracts in order to exercise my constitutional rights. Like many others before me, instead of helping to exercise multiple rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, the companies involved with the money I borrowed instead stripped these UNALIENABLE rights from me. Instead of focusing on the things that mattered, I was instead always focusing on money, and how I would make ends meet. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, there was no recovering from the debt I found myself in. I began making bad financial decisions because the good ones didnt seem to make any more of a difference to being financially free and independent. I am now separated from my wife, friends, and family, on the brink of homelessness, with {$15.00} in my bank account, and {$22000.00} worth of debt. I am tired, I am scared, I am lonely, and I am depressed. I now realize that I was never free with the education unrealistic dreams made available to me. I now realize that my tax money has never been responsibly used to address these issues in our society. I now realize that the land of the free means the land owned by the rich, and that the home of the brave means the poor people that live there. I would love more than anything to be proven wrong and to be given a fair chance at actually obtaining life, liberty, and happiness, but I no longer believe it will happen. The constitution is just an old piece of paper to me now ; the purpose and meaning has faded more than words ...

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a inground pool kit for {$4300.00} from under the sun when it got delivered a panel was damage took all necessary steps with pool company they refuse to file a claim the pool company with freight company I can't because I I didn't pay for freight I did but pool company paid fees so I took the 12 panels and divided by total amount of cost for panels and disputed it with discover card since the dispute I was still trying to get panel replaced by pool company and frieght company and pool company refuse to file a claim trying stick me with a pool that can't be built because broken panel and I yet to recieve my liner for the pool so I called discover back tell them that I can't use a broke pool nor can't use without a liner I never got that I wanted to dispute the entire amount and pool company can pick there stuff up no liner broken panel well discover card told me I can't disputed with the dispute open I said ok close it open a new 1 for the entire amount pool company refusing to file a claim with freight company and I still haven't gotten my liner said they can't not aloud to do it. I ask them is that a government law they wouldn't answer me. I gave pool company the benefit doubt of trying to fix it and there being ignorant threatening and plus never got my liner so I called discovery back to dispute entire amount and told me I'm not around to dispute it again and I'm stuck paying for a pool that arrived damage and can't use

Consumer Complaint: I received an invitation from Discover card to apply for a personal loan. I applied over the phone and gave them all the information they asked for. After a few days I called to inquire about the loan and was told that my loan request had been rejected. I was informed they could not give me a reason why at the time and I would have to wait on a letter from them. I received the letter on XXXX XX/XX/2020. It was dated XXXX XX/XX/2020. As stated in the letter, the reason they were unable to approve the loan was " unable to verify credit references ". After she couldn't explain that to me, she changed it to not being able to verify my identity. Mind you they had my social number, bank account, etc. By the way, my credit is perfect. On the XXXX of XXXX my FICO score was XXXX. Although I was persistent in her telling me the reason my identity could not be verified she would not relent. I think the real reason is my age, which is XXXX years old ... .. and would not that be age discrimination, which I thought was against the law? My reference number with Discover is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with Discover Card regarding a disputed transaction with a vendor over a charge incurred for an event which was cancelled. I used my Discover Card onXX/XX/XXXX to purchase 3 tickets from XXXX XXXX XXXX to a live sports event which was to take place on XX/XX/XXXX. That event which was for the XXXX XXXX XXXX was officially cancelled due to Covid-19 and I received an email from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX giving instructions on receiving a refund. The email stated that a refund would be issued to the original payment source in a timeframe of 2-4 weeks. I emailed the vendor after 4 weeks on XX/XX/XXXX and received a reply from the vendor that a refund would be processed within 2-4 weeks. At that point I decided to contact Discover Card to formally dispute the transaction. I was issued a temporary credit on XX/XX/XXXX by Discover Card pending their investigation. I provided several supporting documents which were emails from XXXX XXXX to me detailing their cancellation policy and refund policy. Discover ultimately sent a final resolution email to me on XX/XX/XXXX which stated that they had decided on behalf of the Vendor. I spoke with Discover on XX/XX/XXXX in their billing department regarding the dispute. The representative went through the materials provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX and stated that the vendor claimed that the event was postponed and not cancelled. This was an outright lie and the cancellation was clearly stated in XXXX 's email to me which is what I provided to Discover in the documentation that I provided.
