I would need to send that letter that I would receive from the FTC, plus written correspondence to XXXX PO Box to have the inquiry removed. I have been unsuccessful finding out or receiving answers to the inquirys removal and XXXX has misled me with bad information in regard to getting it resolved.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Extremely disappointed in Discover. I made a purchase on XXXX on XX/XX/2020 for an item coming from XXXX XXXX. I paid through XXXX which was linked to my Discover card. According to the tracking that was provided by the USPS - the item was delivered on XX/XX/2020, however I never received the item. It was not left anywhere on my property or with my neighbors etc. I called the USPS and they said that because the package originated in the XXXX - that they could not open a case it would have to be done by the seller and the international post. I reached out to the seller and she never responded, even when i had requested that the item e delivered with a signature required. I submitted a claim with XXXX who denied it because the tracking says the item was delivered, and that I should dispute it with my credit card company. I submitted a claim with Discover - for the purchase of the item and the shipping, and Discover subsequently denied the claim as well based on the USPS tracking number. I even reached out on multiple instances, and when I submitted the claim I explained that the tracking says delivered but that I did not receive it, to which I was assured that I would not be responsible for an item that I did not get. I understand that there are issues with the USPS and being delayed etc, however why should I be responsible to pay for an item that was over {$300.00} that I never received? They just saw what USPS tracking said, and that was it. I guess I paid a lot of money for a USPS employee to steal my item, or a porch pirate, but I think that there should be much better protection for a consumer in this instance. Especially during a pandemic, when times are hard as it is. I just find it extremely disconcerting that Discover would leave me with this financial burden.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: For almost 4 years I have been complaining regarding a stolen discover card, theft, identity theft, impersonation, and fraudulent payments that allowed the credit limit to be exceeded. I have been denied information that would have proven the fraud such as payment methods used by the thieves and phone conversations. Yesterday I received the attached response from Consumer Financial Protection Bureau stating the account was going to be finally re-investigated and may take up to 90 more days. ( 0 more days is more than 4 years after the fact. I request a speedy investigation by Discover, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Per the FCRA, the validity, completeness and accurateness should have been accomplished long ago.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my Discover card account XXXXwhich paid it off IN FULL XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I received an alert from XXXX that I had a 30 day late for Discover. They claimed that I owed XXXX worth of interest that was charged to my account. I never received anything saying that I still owed them money. So I went to the website to look it up. I paid it immediately. I don't think that it's fair to reflect a 30 day late on my credit report for less that XXXX in INTEREST that I didn't even know I owed. I thought my account was paid in full and was closed. This immediately dropped my credit score by 34 points. It does not show a true picture of my credit worthiness when the 30 day late is an error of only XXXX. Thank you.
