Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX with a single charge, a cellphone with a cellular service plan was ordered from XXXX XXXX for {$190.00}. XXXX XXXX failed to ship both the cellphone and SIMs to utilize the cellar service plan. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX refunded the - {$150.00} charge for the cellphone, but they refused to refund the cellular service plan charge of {$40.00}. The XXXX XXXX representatives said they were unable to. They advised I should dispute it with credit card provider. A dispute was opened with Discover on XX/XX/XXXX for {$40.00} and they ruled that the charge was valid. No product was provided, no service was activated. The merchant failed to provide information and equipment to utilize the service even without the cellphone. Discover was contacted to find out why the dispute was ruled for in the merchants favor. They were very rude, would not provide a reason, and referred me to the web portal. The merchant provided dispute PDF XXXX was corrupted and unreadable. I am seeking the assistance of CFPB to help provide more information on why this charge is can not be refunded.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I purchased a XXXX XXXX on the XXXX XXXX located in XXXX XXXX Once I arrived I was notified that the cruise was cancelled because of bad weather and rescheduled for XX/XX/2023. I and my guests arrived at XXXX XXXX for the XXXX XXXX cruise only to find out that it was also canceled and rescheduled for the previous night XX/XX/2023. I was never notified by phone or email or any other way that the cruise was moved to yet another date. I filed a dispute with Discover stating all of the facts above. Discover claims that the charge was valid and no refund is available. At this point, I am to assume that Discover purchases are not protected against fraud which is clearly fraud.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I noticed that my Discover card was closed. I called and they informed me that it had been closed 5 days ago. I asked why it was closed and they said due to inactivity. They said that they normally inform customers that they would be closing the card for that reason but did not inform me. I can not open it back up without re applying. If I re apply, its a hard hit on my credit which lowers my score. Due to closing the account, the available balance is taken away from my overall available balance on my credit score, lowering it as well. They told me there i no way to re open the account.

Consumer Complaint: I've attempted several times to resolve disputes from over 30 days and I was put on 30 day moratorium and now today the 30 days is over and I still can't call in to speak with a customer service rep. This is insane and horrible. I am due cash back refunds which I want in a check mailed to me and want nothing to do with an unhelpful company. Thank you.
