Consumer Complaint: Purchase a wedding dress from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2023. In XX/XX/2023 when the dress was due to be delivered, we found that the store had a note on their door that they have been shut down due to not paying the rent. We then received an email from, the merchant letting us know to contact the designers warehouse to find our dress. Once I contacted the designer warehouse, I discovered that the money that I had paid XXXX XXXXXXXX never paid that towards the dress. I then had to find another XXXX and pay full price for the dress and have it delivered to them. I had made a payment of {$1400.00} which was never applied towards the balance of the dress. I then had to pay an additional XXXX to re-purchase the dress and veil. I had forwarded both the original receipt from the boutique that closed down as well as the receipt where I had to re-purchase the dress because it was never paid for. I then was able to get an email from the merchant stating that I did make the payment, I did not receive the merchandise and I was due a refund and Discover still saying that it is a valid charge him or not take that charge off of my card. I am basically paying for a charge that I did not receive any merchandise for. This made national news when XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX affected several Brides for the same issue.

Consumer Complaint: In beginning of XX/XX/XXXX I was served with a small claims lawsuit from Discover Bank Credit Card representing them was XXXX XXXX XXXX a debt collection firm. I was in current negotiations with Discover about optional payment resolutions, when in XX/XX/XXXX they stopped trying to help me and sued me for a non secured credit card. Discover locked me out of my account and I could not get my financial statements and disclosures. I asked Discover and their debt collector XXXX XXXX XXXX. to send me a copy of my financial statements and disclosures and neither of them have sent me copies of my financial statements and disclosures. I asked Discover and XXXX for a debt collection validation notice in XX/XX/XXXX and neither of them have sent me anything. From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I received 3 to 4 phone calls per day, sometimes from a person, most of the time from a robot from Discover calling himself XXXX. I asked Discover to stop the repetitive phone calls and they did not. Discover annoyed and harassed me from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, the calls did not stop till they filed a law suit against me on XX/XX/XXXX. The credit card disclosures require to go through arbitration, mediation, or other alternative disputes before going to court and, this process was skipped and Discover filed a lawsuit against me without even providing a debt validation notice.

Consumer Complaint: Fraudulent wire was made in my online banking account for {$28000.00} on XX/XX/23 XXXX AM XXXX to an unknown and unauthorized bank account. I caught it and called Discover Bank at XXXX PM XXXX and told them to cancel and stop payment immediately! This was within 4 hours of the wire attempt. They confirmed and said they put the wire on recall. I called multiple times in the next days and each time they said the wire was still on recall and I had to wait. I kept asking and requesting for a permanent stop, but they kept telling me they could only recall. The email I had received with original info of the attempted wire transfer ( that I did not make ) states, " A Wire Transfer Specialist will verify your wire details before the transfer is processed. '' No one ever called me or verified anything with me. Absolutely no money should have been sent without verified consent. But more importantly the wire should have been stopped as soon as I called them to inform them. Furthermore and worst, at XXXX AM XXXX on XX/XX/23 I received a notice from Discover Bank stating the funds have successfully transferred!!! How could that be possible if I told them it was fraud and to stop payment?! And they had already confirmed it was on recall. After many requests and demands, they would not make it possible for me to speak with a wire specialist or anyone that could give me the help I needed such as wire details, the bank account the funds were wired to, name, account number, or anything that could help me take action on my own. I was willing to do everything in my power, Discover Bank was not. This is my life savings and I am currently unable to buy basic life necessities like food and water and Discover Bank did nothing after I told them to STOP PAYMENT! It has now been over 4 full days since I originally called and the bank has not recovered the funds they wrongfully processed nor a phone call from an investigator or anything of the sort, and I am left with no time frame either as to when they will be returning the funds back into my account that I use for every day survival. Consumer Complaint: This account was oppen sometime earlier this year. It took about 3 or 4 months for me to catch it. I immediately contacted Discover. They notified whomever opened the account and I assume could not make contact. The account was closed immediately do to not being able to actually ID THE person who opened the account. Discover deemed they had not enough proof of if identity and shut it down. This was removed from my XXXX and XXXX reports. For some reason I'm getting a lot of trouble removing it from XXXX. The account was literally closed by Discover for not being able to identify the owner. MORE PROOF IT WAS NOT ME THAT OPENED THIS. THIS NEEDS to please be removed until Discover can provide actually proof of ownership.

Consumer Complaint: When i got my statement for XX/XX/2023. They want me to pay them for a credit of {$180.00} they say they gave until my dispute was solved. I have e-mails from Discover & the sealer where XXXX XXXX played games with Discover about given me a credit & then retract it then but it back. Now they want me to pay Discover {$180.00} by XX/XX/XXXX I talked to twelve different agents.some say i do not owe it.When ask them to take off of my bill for XXXX. They set me to some who has the power & means to do that but they look at the account they say i owe it But they agree i got two credits & when i tell them since i have not used Discover XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX take XXXXXXXX XXXX & pay Discover But what got me, they told me after one of them that i did not have to pay the {$180.00} and a supervisor would call me in 24 hrs. & when i called this morning no one there new any thing about that procedure

Consumer Complaint: DISCOVER BANK has committed Securities FRAUD against XXXX XXXX. I have never invested in DISCOVER BANK or consent to pay this company. DISCOVER BANK has take out securities out in my name with out my knowledge or consent. DISCOVER BANK has committed 18 U.S.C. 1348 securities fraud is the unlawful practice of using manipulative or deceptive tactics to purchase or sell a security. Fraud is a commonly prosecuted federal crime in the United States and securities fraud charges. DISCOVER BANK has taking {$250000.00} per transaction from FDIC Insurance policy that I did not content to and need to return all funds that belong to XXXX XXXX. I, XXXX XXXX revoke all securities interest that DISCOVER BANK has taking. Please use the GAAP accountant system for my refund of my funds. ALL ACCOUNTS ARE PREPAID Senate document NO.43, 73rd Congress The ownership of all property is in the State, Individuals, so-called ownership is only by virtue of the government, i.e., law, announcing to mere user and use must be in accordance with the law, and sub-ordinate to the necessities of the state.
