Consumer Complaint: Attached is our complaint in PDF. After reviewing this issue with my lawyer, we found multiple Metro 2 reporting compliance issues. We are requesting the inaccurate late payment to be removed or we will see Discover in court. XXXX and XXXX already deleted the account for violations against the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Consumer Complaint: I've reached out to Discover in the past. They sent me a letter ( see attachment ) stating that they didn't have any accounts for me. Later, they inserted information into my credit report with a different account number and almost doubled limit. Discover is blatantly reporting information and changing account numbers to fit their purpose. I continue to attest that I have no accounts with Discover.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I would like to file the claim with DISCOVER BANK, who recently closed my account without any notice. This is my oldest credit card with over 10 years billing history. I was trying to solve this issue with the bank directly, but to my surprise, they did not cooperate and stated that it is the '' business decision '' they conducted regularly. I am very confused because they did not even disclosure any of the specific reasons on why my account being closed, either give me any opportunities to explain the situation. I thought it maybe relates to my recent disputes with XXXX XXXX, which I disputed for the items returned but no refund. However, since the cases are still open, I did not think it is appropriate for the bank to close my account directly without solving the issues. Actually, The merchant has already provided the proof of return from XXXX, and the case will be solved soon ( as attached ). Therefore, I felt extremely upset and have to file this claim with DISCOVER Bank for the further investigations. Appreciate if CFPB could step in and negotiate with the bank directly and reopen the account on my behalf. Thanks in advance.

Consumer Complaint: I rented a car because my car broke down. I started renting from XXXX in XXXX, Texas on XX/XX/2021 and ended on XXXX XXXX. I was paying every week {$300.00} dollars from Wednesday to Wednesday. using my Discover Card. I made multiple payments to Discover during this same time. The problem is that XXXX charged my card {$1500.00} at the end of my car rental. They never disclosed this practice to me. I was told that they were charging my card weekly {$30000.00} dollars. So I feel let down and duped by XXXX XXXX XXXX and Discover who just took my available credit of {$1200.00} and accepted this last charge of {$1500.00} and left me with a huge balance and no available credit in case of emergencies. Please help me! Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I paid for an online school called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) with my discover credit card. Due to the pandemic, health-related, and facing hardship I was unable to finish the course with XXXX and XXXX refused to refund the money I paid even though I never received what I paid for. I submitted a chargeback with Discover card and Discover went in favor of XXXX leaving me responsible for the balance of over one thousand dollars, I've explained to Discover over and over that I have a medical letter excusing me from this school and also have provided proof of hardship, per consumer law if XXXX is refusing to refund my money, Discover card needs to step in and refund my money but Dicover is refusing as well.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: My account got closed over 6 months ago. Discover says I don't owe them any money but whenever I ask the usually very nice customer service reps why my account got closed or if I can open another one they turn into ice cold emotional robots spewing out the same company policy line. I feel like I have a right to know why my account was cancelled. I did a lot of business with them and I feel like this is unacceptable

Consumer Complaint: Credit card was opened in my name not by me. A lot was charged on card all not by me. {$9900.00} at the moment. I filed a police report in 2017 and spoke with there fraud department and sent a police report. The credit card company has not called me about any of the payments but they have really lowered my credit score with the charge off. and as of today it still shows up on my credit report as a charge off that has lowered my credit score over 100 points.
