Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have had my Discover Secured credit card for about a year and a half and opened my account early 2020. I was told after 7 months of holding my account I would be upgraded to unsecured. I have reached out a few times and they say that they have no control and that the computer decides for them. In the time I have opened the account I have established a {$26000.00} car loan and have never missed a payment, have gotten a car lease and since payed and closed the account with zero missed payments, currently hold a {$400.00} loan with perfect payment history, a Military credit card with an {$1100.00} credit limit with zero missed payments since opening a year and a half ago, a XXXX XXXXXXXX unsecured card with perfect payment history, and an XXXX XXXX XXXX with a {$1500.00} credit line and perfect payment history. I have roughly {$4200.00} in credit between my five credit cards and have never missed a payment on any. In my 16 months of holding a Discover Card and always making my payments on time I feel it must be some type of error that I have not been unsecured at this point in time and Discover will not look further into my situation.

Consumer Complaint: My credit card account with Discover was opened XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I set up automatic payments with the company. Everything was fine until around XX/XX/XXXX when I told Discover, via phone, that my bank account on file experience fraud and I had to change the payment account with Discover to another due to this. We changed the payment account over the phone. The next payment was never taken out of my new account. Discover kept on trying to take it out of my old account. I did not realize this because they never called me and I set up auto pay with my new account. It took a while for me to realize it. This is when they closed my account in XX/XX/XXXX. I would like to have the charge off and closed account removed from my credit because this is the fault of Discover. I've reached out to Discover several time throughout the years and tried disputing it with them and the bureaus so I turned for CFPB because no one would listen. I filed a police report and a report with XXXX XXXX. Discover should check their phone records to verify what I'm saying and remove this account from being reported to the 4 major credit bureau agencies.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a credit card after many promotional emails, a prepaid card with discover. The fee was minimum XXXX XXXX .I paid XXXX $ for prepaid credit card ... They sent the plastic card by mail ... i wasnt able to ever use the suppose to be open account. They claim i needed to send 2 years of IRS history/taxes. I am XXXX. I never had a card before, i was trying to open credit for the first time to help myself get an aparment on the future. They were super rude to me back on XXXX XXXX ..very nasty because i dont work and only receive income for XXXX. After 4 hours on the phone, not able to use my card..and hungry on the street. They told me there was no way for them to active my card due to me receiving XXXX, not working I asked them to refund the XXXX XXXX they told me they will only refund after 2 billing cicles knowing the card was never actived..and never used of course. If they were closing the account then theres no billing cycles either ... .I waited 3 months and the XXXX $ check refund never came by mail as promised. This was discrimination and also stole the money. Yes this is the real discover company. I have the letter on hand. Thank you.
