Consumer Complaint: they had misspelled my email, it is XXXX and not XXXX. I also have multiple accounts with Discover and their app doesn't allow a user to view more than one account. To my knowledge I had not used the card so I never checked that account and since I wasn't notified of a payment due I had no way of knowing that there a subscription that had been placed on that card.

Consumer Complaint: I decided to apply for a secured credit card with discover to help my credit score. They accepted my application and took {$500.00} out of my checking acct. i received the card and tried to spend {$25.00} at XXXX, i was denied. I called they told me they blocked my card to verify my information. I asked why didnt they do that before taking my money. But fine. I filled out the irs form they sent me. I received an email a week later saying they couldnt verify my personal information and they closed the acct. what did i do wrong? Why didnt they verify all of my info before taking money to secure my account? Now this is about to show up on my credit report as an inquiry and a closed account by discover. Which is gon na hurt my credit and i did nothing wrong. And i have to wait another month or more for my {$500.00} to be returned. How was my information verified? And how do i prove im me. If all they asked me to do was fill out and irs form and i did that.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a savings account with Discover Bank on XX/XX/21 and even had to call in to do a verification call with them. At no time even when calling in before the account was opened did they say anything about an account I had from a few years ago that was closed. NOTHING!!! So I was not even aware of this account, well two days later the froze the account and closed it because of this old account. Now mine you I had deposited a settlement check I had gotten from an insurance settlement. This check was to be held for 7 days, which was fine since I just wanted the money for savings. Well I called when I got the text about the account be frozen and was told it was closed and most likely the would just reverse the check deposit since it was still pending, I of course did not believe this and called XXXX where the check was drawn from and was told the check had been cashed already! SO I called discover back and was told so rudely oh yea well we will mail you a check after it has been 60 days! What! Oh yes its are policy to keep customers money to make sure everything is ok. Really OK with what! The account had only one transaction and it was the deposit, its been 2 days! Well he said so sorry too bad were keeping your money for 60 days then we will mail you a check and it will take another 2 weeks.

Consumer Complaint: 1. In XX/XX/XXXX ; Discover Card gave me an option to setup a " Hardship Payment Plan '' with low interest rate on my closed account. I signed up and setup to make payment with " Auto Pay '' on the XXXX of each month ( An email confirmation is attached ). Since the account was closed and setup for Auto Pay ; I did not see a reason to monitor activities as I was XXXX outside the United States. Last week ; I received email from credit monitoring that my Discover account was reported " Late '' and my credit score dropped by XXXX points. I checked my account online and noticed that Discover stopped using " Auto Pay '' for payments in XX/XX/XXXX but never notified me about that. I contacted Discover but they were not able to answer my question and instead transferred me to several different departments. MY MORTGAGE REFINANCE APPLICATION HAS BEEN DENIED SINCE MY CREDIT SCORE DROPPED FROM XXXX TO BELOW XXXX. 2. Again, I contacted Discover several times and they continued to provide incorrect and misleading information to me. I asked Discover the date when I signed up for the " Hardship payment Plan ''. Discover provided incorrect date over and over again and insisted that I signed up in XXXX and I was not setup for Auto Pay ; which is not true. I actually signed up in late ( XXXX ) XXXX with " Auto Pay '' from my bank account. I contacted Discover several times and they continued to provide incorrect and misleading information to me and I was not setup for Auto Pay. A similar complaint was filed with CFPB in XXXX of XXXX when account was in COVID-19 relief but Discover still charged Late Fees ; eventually they revered the Late Fees after receiving a copy of the complaint from CFPB.

I have no funds in my account and they did not want to provide me with no resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I ordered a tricycle via internet on XXXX XX/XX/2021 ( Order # XXXX ) for {$99.00} and I used the Discover card to pay for it, before entering my shipping address ; right when I clicked it appeared the XXXX logo along with a name " XXXX ''. The very next day, I found on the internet, an email " XXXX and sent the mail as I wanted to have more information about the purchasing. I never received any answer. I waited for the tricycle to arrive and it never did. Then, via Internet, on XX/XX/2021 I found an email XXXX and I sent an email to this person to CANCEL the above order as to that day I never received the item. In the meantime I informed the Discover because the charge was already there. Discover reversed the charge, Then, on XX/XX/2021 Discover charged my account again and since then, it has been a nightmare as I have called Discover constantly but went nowhere. Yesterday ( XX/XX/2021 ), I called the Fraud Dept at Discover and I was told that they had received a document from the merchant XXXX XXXX '' stating the the merchandise was delivered with no signature. I told them that I want to see the document as I NEVER RECEIVED ANY ITEM. Last night, Discover sent me a document showing it was delivered on XX/XX/2021 @ XXXX XXXX to a USPS Mailbox with Tracking # XXXX. This morning, after I called Discover again and told them I do not live in a mail box. The woman to whom I spoke told me to prove it because they believed on the merchant document. Please, help because this is the second time Discover get my money, the last time, was about {$3400.00} or so for a bathroom work that was never done which I will file a complaint later. I wish I could deal with the seller but I have no idea and XXXX people always directs me to their website which does not solve the problem. Please, help.
