Consumer Complaint: I had purchased an airplane ticket with XXXX XXXX using my Discover Credit Card to fly from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX, FL on XX/XX/2021. On the morning of XX/XX/2021 as I was preparing to go to the airport I received an email from XXXX XXXX telling me that the flight was cancelled. I had to buy another ticket at the last minute from XXXX XXXX and I was delayed a whole day before being able to depart. I contacted Discover Card and informed them that XXXX XXXX cancelled the flight and that I needed a refund. The Discover representative said it would be no problem to get the refund since XXXX is the one who initiated the cancellation. I uploaded screenshots of the email from XXXX XXXX showing that they had cancelled. Discover Card removed the charge of {$170.00} but yesterday they put it back on and when I call they keep me on hold without coming to the phone.

Consumer Complaint: This is the sixth time that I am filing a complaint about the same issue. I have also filed a complaint to the Office of Comptroller of the Currency as a result of the noncompliance and the abuse done to me as the consumer. Discover is willfully and negligently not complying pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1681n and 15 U.S. Code 1681o. My account has been closed under false pretenses. I began to dispute an unlawful inquiry made by Discover. Discover was the one who committed fraud and identity theft when pulling my social security and using my open end credit plan to open my credit card account. Near two years later, I found this violation of identity theft and fraud. My identity was stolen and then a finance charge was made to do the paperwork for opening my credit card equal to the amount of credit that was extended. I already requested paperwork to show the original creditor of the transaction, which is me. My credit gives Discover 's corporation life. The request for this information was covered up with documents that had nothing to do with my request. Discover knows that they are in the wrong here, and I as a natural person and consumer am protected by Congress and the laws under the Consumer Protection. In addition to this violation, Discover is wrongly attempting to collect the remaining balance on the account that was closed. Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1692, Discover is misrepresenting me as the consumer and using abusive debt collection practices to collect the remaining balance on my account. Pursuant to Civil Liability sections 15 U.S. Code 1640, 15 U.S. Code 1611, and 15 U.S. Code 1692k, Discover is liable to compensate me with monetary remedy.

Consumer Complaint: I am applying to the Discover it XXXX credit card through discovercard.com. After putting in my information there is the boilerplate terms and service stuff, but the actual card member agreement is nearly unreadable. As far as I can tell, they have literally photocopied a physical piece of paper and uploaded it to the website. I do not have poor vision, but the image quality of the agreement is so poor that the text is blurred, and some words are illegible. Attached is a screenshot from the offending document which clearly shows that the card member agreement is difficult to read and the text is blurred. Why is the font so small? It's not like they're saving paper ( I'm on a webpage ). Also, why would they not use text in the page ( like every other part of the application ) itself rather than ( what appears to be ) an image? If consumers can not read the agreement they are signing, then they can not be fully informed of the decision they are making. This is unacceptable from a company with the technical resources of Discover.

Consumer Complaint: I had set up a payment plan with Discover card due to a financial hardship. They were auto drafting {$200.00} a month from my bank account for the last 2+ years. In XX/XX/2021, they did not withdrawal the money despite their being sufficient funds in the account and then reported it as a late payment to the credit bureaus. When I contacted them to have it resolved they claimed I had been making the payments to them and they were not automatically withdrawing. This is completely false and has now adversely affected my credit. I paid the balance and closed my account so it does not happed again, however I have no recourse to correct my credit.

I returned and had no choice but to accept a demotion position on XX/XX/XXXX making approximately $ XXXX less. during the pandemic I used up all of my savings to keep up with my payments. Before the pandemic I had an impeccable payment history. Never missed or late on a payment. I contacted Discover letting them know my situation and to make payment arrangement base on what I can afford at the time, and they refuse to work with me. I'm now back to my office and I'm making payments. I explained to them The Govt passed The Corona Virus Aid Relief Economic Security Act which was enacted in XX/XX/XXXX and that late payments should not have been reported on my account due to the pandemic. I also let them know I attempted to refinance my home and take some equity out to pay off my debt but was denied because of the late payments that is on my credit report which drove down my credit score. I spoke to XXXX ( Delaware location ) who transferred me to XXXX who transferred me to supervisor XXXX who told me that she could not assist me.
