Consumer Complaint: I asked for a refund of {$70.00} which is an XXXX XXXX cleaning service total. I asked for this money back as there were finger nails, 2, on the ground as well as multiple hairs in the bedazzled well as other issues. Discover told me I was denied the refund for various reasons like I didnt take the proper steps to file a dispute. I have hard closed my account with them. I will pay the balance minus the {$70.00} I am not getting back. I have never heard of multiple businesses being OK with unsanitary practice. Discover sounded completely fine with businesses using unsanitary practices. In the pictures attached, please see the hairs and what appears to be straw underneath the nail.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I've been disputing a fraudulent account that has been reporting on my credit report. The company is Discover Credit Card {$3000.00}. A credit repair company provided me with the documents of this account. I immediately contacted XXXX to dispute this account. Spoke with the customer service representative and was told to contact Discover. I called Discover Fraud department and was told by them to provide them with documentation showing this account was not a account I opened. I submitted the police report, and affidavit of fraud and forgery that was notarized by my credit bank. I also sent them identity theft victim information sheet that I filed as well. This process has been ongoing with them. Discover sent me a letter in XX/XX/XXXX saying that after their investigation the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX, and they provided an address that is not an address where I have lived. At that point I had my apartment complex provide Discover with a letter stating I have only lived at one address in the complex. And as of today XXXX and Discover are holding me against my rights to an account they have failed to prove I opened. According to FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ) block of information from Identity theft. " A consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agency '' .... but this matter has been going on for years and XXXX nor Discover Credit Card has upheld this law.

Issue: Other features, terms, or problems
Subissue: Problem with balance transfer
Consumer Complaint: Thought there was a mistake when I initially applied for a balance transfer it never went through online so they took the application on the phone sometime past I called them to check on the status and they said there was a problem I then asked them what the problem was and they said that they needed more information because there was a security fraud issue and did not elaborate error they evaded the question I found out later when I called XXXX was that I had a credit freeze on my account that they probably couldnt access it and that I should call Discover back I called them back and tried to straighten it out and they said that XXXX wanted a form filled out to confirm some information and I asked why is it necessary and they evaded the question several times during 3 conversations they wouldnt answer me directly ; subsequently I called XXXX back they g they said that there was there really isnt much They can do. guess they can just get away with cutting me off from my own account that was always paid on time had excellent credit for no reason they wanted to re-verify everything and I did expect this not with my credit history. I unlocked my credit report when I talk to XXXX and they can access my current information and my on time payment history including paying off their card but they refuse to cooperate and I have o account or rights apparently. XXXX denied they had anything to do with this situation.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I rarely use my Discover card anymore because their customer support no longer supports their customers. In this case, I bought a computer processor that turned out to be defective. The merchant, XXXX, does not respond to customer complaints and does not resolve issues with their sellers ' shipping defective merchandise. In this case, I received a defective CPU processor. I contacted XXXX to report the issue, and XXXX 's automated response was to disregard the issue. I opened a dispute via Discover, and after a few months, Discover came back siding with XXXX. I would not raise this issue other than Discover has made no attempt to contact me or request additional information regarding this issue. It would appear that Discover simply does a a cursory attempt to contact XXXX and accept any excuse provided to close the case. This is not the first time Ive had issues with Discovers customer support not conducting thorough investigations for disputes, but it is finally worth escalating, even if it is over a {$27.00} purchase.
