Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I requested a wire transfer of {$79000.00} ( approx. {>= $1,000,000} pesos ) with a {$30.00} wire transfer fee on Friday at XXXX p.m. from Discover Bank XXXX XXXX Bank in XXXX, XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the wire transfer was processed. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX received the funds from XXXX ( which I believe is XXXX XXXX ). The problem is that the amount received was only {>= $1,000,000} pesos ( approx. {$3500.00} USD less than I sent ). After verifying that the money was not taken by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I contacted Discover bank ( DB ) & spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. She said once they send the money to Federal Reserve they are done with transaction. So I asked her which Federal Reserve did they send it to, but she couldn't tell me which one or give me contact info. She did give me a XXXX number and I found a telephone number online of a Federal Reserve. I called but they said they only service banks and not consumers & DB could request a trace. I called DB back & spoke with a XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX & XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. She agreed to do a trace. On XX/XX/XXXX I called her back, she stated she was still waiting for results. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and this morning XX/XX/XXXX and have left messages but not received a call back. I am frustrated, but I want the money someone stole from me returned. Can you please help?

Consumer Complaint: Discover paid a merchant XXXX XXXX XXXX {$100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed the amount as I had no idea what it was for. Nobody could tell me what it was for. Apparently back and forth they paid XXXX, gave me a credit, paid the merchants and then gave me a credit. Finally on XX/XX/XXXX they stated the merchant XXXX was paid however, no proof has been provided they were paid and it is NOT on my statements I have poured over. Discover.com sent me an email attached stating they took the credit back from me and still have not provided me proof they paid the vendor. Only verbally have they told me. They said XXXX was paid on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and tons of other dates. I have 1 screenshot of a payment made to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. This has gone to collections with XXXX XXXX XXXX stating I owe the money yet have not validated the debt. XXXX was contacted as well and escalated the issue with nobody calling me back either.

Consumer Complaint: I had a ex girlfriend who used my credit card without my knowledge to rack up many charges. I had two copies of my credit card and the second copy that I kept in my office " disappeared '' for a time. When I questioned my ex-girlfriend about the missing credit card and the additional charges, she claimed that she did not know. Then the credit card magically re-appeared. I then broke up with her because I knew she was lying to me, we only dated for two months which matches up with the timeline of the charges. Some of these charges include her doing her nails as well as her phone bill, for which she even prepaid two months. I expressed this to the credit card company and they ruled in her favor, the agent stated that because she was my girlfriend that I must have given her permission to rack up {$2400.00}. I got a letter in the mail explaining their decision over a month after they had already made it, and I have not gotten an electronic version, therefore once I realized there was a decision, I had no way to call them and dispute their decision before the bill was due. Discover Credit cards dispute process is not transparent and it does not benefit you the credit, there is no clear process laid out and communication from the dispute department is non existent. This shows a clear lack of concern for the rights of their credits and shows that they are out to protect the company. I would recommend using another credit card company like chase for daily purchases.
