Consumer Complaint: I was supposed to be refunded secure credit card balance in XX/XX/2020 due to they didn't get to my Taxes statement sent before expiration date. I was told they will refund the remainder of my balance to my previous address in XXXX, pa. In XX/XX/2020 I called to check status and let them know we received no check and we were moving. I updated my address and supposedly Discover Credit card told me the check was sent but never received. XXXX more times this happened in which agreement was struck with Discover credit card and myself that I will be issued an expedited service and an electronic transfer in the sum of the remainder of balance of {$480.00} I was due to receive it by XXXX of XXXX in which again nothing. I'm rudeuced to recording our phone calls because no one at the company are making appropriate notes, following their own policy of 2 cycle and ten day return, and at this point the whole situation is getting utterly rediculous with conversations began to get aggressive and threatening with them. Phone calls are recorded from both parties both them and me and I need your help. I'm followed procedure with both you and the attorney general to have this matter investigated because I have no help in this

Consumer Complaint: I disputed a charge with my bank after a seller guaranteed a refund after they received confirmation that the items were returned. I sent the company proof that the items were returned and the company stopped communicating with me. The company sent me an email on XX/XX/2022 requesting that I cancel the dispute with my bank before they issued the refund. I refused to do so. The company has not made contact with me since then. I filed a dispute with my bank for this and the bank stated that the company did not give a time frame of when the refund would be issued so they rejected the dispute. I have provided documents to the bank providing proof of the guarantee from the company along with delivery tracking information. The bank is refusing to reopen the investigation.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a quality Discover Card customer for over a year. I have a XXXX balance and a {$9000.00} line of credit. I was asked for my tax returns and or XXXX months of my checking account statements ( rather intrusive if they are questioning that I am who I say I am ). I provided all that was requested to include XXXX months of bank statements which was also notarized. I was subsequently told the notary did not put their address on the form and they were not accepting it. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and there is NO requirement for a Notary to put there address on any form -- their notary number is sufficient to verify that this is a legitimate Notary. Discover then ran a hard pull of my credit ( making me lose points ) and then denied it. Closing my account at the request of the creditor will make me lose more points. A quick review of Consumer Affairs websites will show CFPB this is happening hundreds of times a day. I am most willing to assist in any suit the federl government seeks to bring on behave of this class of consumers. XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX

Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Can't use card to make purchases
Consumer Complaint: Received multiple calls to pay outstanding balance weeks in advance with no mention of the following form. Card declined after posting payment of half my statement. Fourth call to customer service advised I had to fill out IRS form 4506-C to verify income. Would not allow me to verify in any other way. Customer service also provided multiple different answers as to why my card kept declining before advising me to complete this form. Company has frozen use of my card until the IRS provides my recent tax returns. Would not accept them from me, or any paystubs ( I have record of all of my paystubs online from my employer ). Customer service had no way of expediting this verification. Typical turn around time is 60 days per the form. I recently paid down half of my outstanding statement balance. Expecting immediate use of my credit card after payment was posted, I no longer have money available to live for the rest of the week.

Consumer Complaint: The Discover consumer mobile application has been unstable for over three months ( as of XX/XX/2022 ) and a large number of users, myself included, are experiencing a " flash crash '' when trying to open the mobile app via a smartphone device. When clicking on the app icon, the app attempts to open and immediately crashes, preventing access to consumer credit and deposit account info and servicing functions. Additional details can be gleaned from numerous recent negative app ratings in the XXXX XXXX store. I contacted Discover via phone to try and find out if this was a known issue and if work was being done to resolve the issue and restore access via mobile app. The representative I spoke with ( XX/XX/2022 ) indicated they were not aware of an issue and it had not been sent out to the contact center floor as a known issue ( with corresponding talk track for handling complaints ). Since I first encountered the issue, Discover has published three new app versions on the XXXX XXXX store, and the issue persists ( consistent with other complaints in the app store ). Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, Discover Credit Card cashed a mailed in check in the amount of {$200.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Discover converted the mailed in check to an electronic check. Therefore, I do not have a photocopy of a check, but I do have the bank 's electronic check transaction information showing Discover cashed the XX/XX/XXXX, {$200.00} check from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. My Discover Credit Card was never credited for the payment on XX/XX/2022, from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. And my efforts at reporting the missing payment are ignored and instead Discover Credit Card keeps replying and referencing another, separate, payment that in the amount of {$200.00} from XXXXXXXX XXXX that I did not and am not reporting as missing. The Discover Credit Card company keeps sending me messages, via U.S. Mail and XXXX that my {$200.00} Payment on XX/XX/2022, from XXXXXXXX XXXX was received and credited to my Discover Credit Card. This is true and irrelevant. I've repeatedly called and mailed Discover Credit Card that my payment of {$200.00} from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022, is the payment that is missing. I am uploading the electronic check transaction information for the {$200.00} payment to my Discover Credit Card on XX/XX/2022, that Discover Credit Card will not credit my Discover Credit Card even though the payment was cashed by Discover Credit Card on XX/XX/XXXX, and will not tell me why? Please have Discover Credit Card credit my account for the {$200.00} separate payment from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX that Discover Credit Card received and negotiated on XX/XX/XXXX. Please thank Discover Credit Card for doing the same with my other {$200.00} payment from XXXXXXXX XXXX on or about XX/XX/2022 ; but that this is not the payment that is missing and therefore has nothing to do with the missing payment I am repeatedly writing and calling about to no effect.
