Subissue: Problem during payment process

Now discover is holding my Money order and saying they cant apply it to my account as a payment and refuse to send it back to me, and want me to send an another payment. I called the money order company and they said there is nothing wrong with the payment and that discover are using a different system to process payments than before. If discover is using a different method to process payment it should not be the consumers responsibility and I can not imagine how many millions of people are going through this problem and discover are keeping the consumers money. Its a burden on the consumers part And that the consumer have to pay the money order company a fee to reissue another money order. Please look into this they are keeping peoples money and telling consumers to call your Your money order company and the mean time the consumers have to pay a fee to get the money order reissued!!! Discover needs to fix this problem and send the money order back to the people!!! Please look into this matter and I am available to assist you!!! Thank you.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified by Discover that there was potential fraud charge on my card and when I checked my account there were 2 charges from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I notified Discover that these were fraudulent via their automated system and thought everything was resolved. A couple weeks later ( XX/XX/2022 ), I checked my account and the charges were still there, so I called Discover and they had me go through the dispute process with a representative. Over the course of the next 3 months Discover called me 6 times to gather information, usually asking the same questions each time. On XX/XX/2022 Discover called me and notified me that the claim was denied because I checked my account the day it happened. They also stated that I made a payment at the start of the month, which I have been doing for the last few years. Discover claims that the case was resolved on XX/XX/2022 but I never received a letter and my account wasn't adjusted until XX/XX/2022. There was no response from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and the entire investigate lasted over 90 days if you account for the automated message that was sent on XX/XX/2022. I've never heard of a claim being denied because the person checked their account, this is a dangerous precedent to set because I shouldn't be punished for being responsible.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I was approved and took out a Secured Discover Credit Card in XX/XX/2022, and provided a security deposit of {$2500.00}. Discover clearly advertises that security deposits will be returned after 6 months on-time payments across all credit accounts, and sent monthly reminders indicating my progress toward this goal, indicating that deposits are typically returned in 2-3 business days after meeting the 6 month requirement. In XXXX, I was notified that I had successfully met all requirements and would be receiving my deposit back. However, at that time, Discover began to stonewall the process of returning the funds as agreed. I was told that a check had been sent that never arrived. A customer service representative then told me that a replacement check would be sent, but this was never processed. I was then told that an ACH deposit would be made, only to have a supervisor later inform me that Discover does not have the " capacity '' to return deposits using ACH. Further attempts to escalate or expedite the return of the funds were flatly rejected. Discover is in obvious breach of its own cardholder agreement and written promises, yet I have no recourse to hold them accountable and have them return my funds, and I seek assistance from the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: Discover card Had a balance transfer offer I paid off but they still charged me interest. I contacted them, they admitted their error and refunded me interest ( XXXX ). I recently received the next period statement and the original transfer amount in question is still showing up on the bill with now sky high interest. I took screen shots of most of the conversation and will attach.
