Consumer Complaint: Discover is reporting negative information in a form of late payments to the consumer reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) in reference to me as the consumer. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 7 ) ( E ), no federal law under the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires a financial institution to furnish negative information about a consumer to a consumer reporting agency. Furthermore, under the Federal Truth In Lending Act 15 USC 1666b ( a ) state that A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. As a financial institution, as defined under the Gramm Leach Bliley Act, Discover failed to perform their obligation to respect and protect my privacy. Discover failed to provide me an adequate opt out notice and Ive NEVER granted Discover any lawful consent to disclose my nonpublic personal information to any nonaffiliated third party pursuant to 12 CFR 1016.7. By willfully reporting negative information to the consumer reporting agencies WITHOUT MY CONSENT constitutes as a form of punishment to defame my character. Discover actions are identified under 18 USC 894 for knowingly participating in any way, or conspiring to do so, by using extortionate means to punish me as the consumer. Having expressed these federal violations Discover breaking under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act and Gramm Leach Bliley Act, I am demanding Discover to CEASE AND DESIST these illegal actions. Consumer Complaint: I have a medical condition that causes extreme hair lost. I contacted XXXX at XXXX hair Enchancements on XXXXshe promised to make a custom hair system for me. I paid her {$1500.00}. The hair system was tacky and did not fit. XXXX did not want to refund me the money. I also paid her deposit on XXXX and XXXX for another custum system that i have not received nor do i want her to make it for me. I open a dispute with Discover on XXXX. They returned the XXXX back to her because the said even though i am not happy with the system and service she did produce me the the hair system. DIscover and Fairwinds are still investigating my dispute of the deposit i made for the 2nd hair system. This women scamed me and distroyed XXXX on my own personal wigs i paid {$500.00} for each one. I have contacted XXXX and dept of business and professional regulation. This women gave me a business card under XXXX XXXX and her website. PREMIERHAIR.NET her name is XXXX XXXX. Neither name appear under XXXXXXXX XXXX or XXXX. The only person who has a license at XXXX XXXX per these organization is XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX refuses to refund me any of my money and Discover will not credit my account. I am not a scammer i have XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I fell behind on payments by about XXXX months. The company had me on a payment plan to help but the payments were still too much. I was given an offer of XXXX XXXX interest and the they close the account or make a one time payment to keep the card. So I made a one time payment of {$1100.00} on XX/XX/2022 to keep the card open. To my surprise credit karma alerted me that my card was closed as of XX/XX/2022. I contacted discover about a week ago to complaint about this and have my card opened or the interest brought down to XXXX % since they closed my card. I received no resolution even though I threaten to report this udap violation. To this day Im still stuck at a higher interest rate with a closed card Im forced to make payments on even though I am still recovering from my financial hardship.

Issue: Opening an account

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I decided to open a Discover Bank XXXX Account online. Discover Bank was offering a special bonus of {$150.00} if the savings account was opened with {$15000.00} and held for at least 30 days. Near the 45 day mark, I contacted Discover Bank through their online message system. The customer service agent ( XXXX ) notified me that a promo code was not applied to the account to receive the bonus offer. At origination, Discover did not disclose a promo code. A promo code input field was not available during the application process. The savings account was opened using links on Discover Bank 's online offer site. Discover Bank Customer Service stated that they can not provide the bonus unless I provide the promo code for the offer that was on their website at origination. Discover Bank 's website for the savings account did not provide any promo code. I opened the account through the links provided by Discover Bank and abided by the terms of the bonus. I would like Discover Bank to credit my account the {$150.00} bonus and provide the adequate XXXX showing the bonus for 2022.
