Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase in XX/XX/2023 but did not receive the service I paid for I tried to solve the issue with the company they laughed at me they were very disrespectful so I disputed it with my credit card company which is Discover card I put in a dispute I asked them could they request the recording they told me yes after they closed the first dispute not ruling in my favor I called them and they denied telling me that it was on a recorded line I re opened the dispute and supplied my documentation they have again closed the dispute i know they are not reviewing my dispute properly I have been robbed of my funds charged for a service I did not receive I would also like to file on the company I paid as well

Consumer Complaint: During the summer of XXXX. Discover closed my card due to being unable to verify my identity and told me I could reapply and just verify my identity then. It is now XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and I have tried applying to get a due to status of previous account. My account was closed by discover and now XXXX cant even reapply. None of the customer service agents know how to fix it and numerous have tried to walk me through the application process with the same rejection notice.

I paid {$510.00} to settle the account and have it closed so it no longer reports late payments to the credit bureaus. Once I paid it, I called discover back to have them update the information. They updated it to show the payment and stated it would be updated fully to settled for less than balance owed within 30 days. It has now been 40 days and it has not been updated and continues to show a late payment for the month of XX/XX/2023.

Consumer Complaint: I am responding to the previously two inter-related complaints XXXX and XXXX regarding a fraudulently applied for and maintained Discover credit card ( account XXXX ) in my name, that occurred while I was XXXX on income tax related charges within the State of New Jersey and XXXX XXXX XXXX. First, Discover Financial Services exceeded the 30 requirement for responding to both your office and me. My complaint to Discover Financial Services was made in XX/XX/XXXX. My request for your intervention was made in XX/XX/XXXX. Secondly, the account information submitted by XXXX, at the Discover Office of Customer Advocacy only proves to substantiate my complaint that a Discover credit was in fact opened in my name and maintained in my name using my former address, however I was not at my home address and I was unable to remit payments on this credit card, because I was XXXX in both the New Jersey XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Not only did Discover exceed the 30 day requirement for responding, but it responded with information showing that someone, other than me opened the credit card account. Furthermore, this Discover credit is incorrectly being reported on my credit reports an active account when the account was closed in XXXX. My credit score is now incorrectly being reduced with an erroneous credit reporting from a credit card fraudulently opened and maintained and still being reported as an current debt, when the credit card was closed and written off in XXXX. I request your intervention under the Fair Credit Reporting Account of motivating Discover Financial Services to remove this incorrect information from my credit reports. Consumer Complaint: Discover Card issue. XX/XX/XXXX : {$77.00} charge at XXXX XXXX disputed as possible fraud. Charge removed by Discover. Subsequent, undisputed charges at XXXX XXXX rejected by Discover. I contacted Discover and confirmed the purchases. Ask them to pay the {$77.00} charge, too, just to clear the issue. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX charges totaling {$8700.00} appear on my Discover statement. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX rejects an on-line purchase, not charged to Discover, claiming that Discover never paid them for over {$5000.00} of the charges that appeared on my XX/XX/XXXX statement. I have paid Discover in full. I contacted Discover in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX, spending hours on the phone requesting evidence that they paid XXXX XXXX, so I could present that to XXXX XXXX. On both occasions, I was told that documentation would be mailed to me. I have not received it.
