Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to withdraw {$500.00} from XXXXXXXX XXXX here in XXXX XXXX. My primary bank is Discover Bank and from their app, XXXXXXXX XXXX does not charge a fee to use their ATM. After I requested the {$500.00} from this ATM, and this ATM has worked for me in the past, the ATM froze and did not dispense my cash and gave me a receipt. The receipt showed that {$0.00} was dispensed and said it canceled the transaction. Later that day I checked my checking account with Discover and I noticed the {$500.00} came out on my account. I first contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX and they told me to contact Discover. On that same day, I opened a dispute with Discover Bank and uploaded my receipt from the ATM stating I did not receive my cash. XXXX weeks later I received a letter in the mail saying my dispute had been denied. I contacted Discover Bank that day to reopen my case and they asked me to upload more information. I told them the receipt was the only thing I could provide. This XXXX attempt has been denied. I contacted Discover Bank today and asked what else I could do they said they wanted more documentation from XXXXXXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX and since I'm not a customer the receipt is the only thing they can provide me. So I've uploaded my receipt to Discover Bank for a XXXX attempt but it will get denied as it was denied in the past. I'm attaching the receipt as proof and the last XXXX of my debit card align to my card number and within that receipt, it shows {$0.00}. I am not committing fraud and just want the {$500.00} that I never received from the ATM. Push come to shove there is suverlliance from the XXXX XXXX that will support this.

Consumer Complaint: I paid for a summer camp in advance for my son to attend. When I withdrew him from the camp due to safety concerns, the camp refused to refund the money I had paid in advance for the time my son did not attend. I disputed the amount with Discover as I had paid for services that were not provided to me. There is no dispute with the camp that the services were not provided, nor is there a dispute as to how much should be refunded to me. The camp simply refuses to give me my money back because they want to keep it. I disputed the charges with Discover and they initially refunded the money, then they reversed the charges and said unless the camp states in writing that they are willing to refund my money that I will have to pursue a refund a different way. Discover refuses to reverse the charges for services I paid for but never received despite the fact that there is no dispute over the fact that the camp did not provide the services for which I was charged.

I have began the process of filing a police report with the XXXX XXXX store where I left my XXXX XXXX, where the charges occurred from according to XXXX. Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue: Payment process
Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to resolve this issue with Discover Home Loans since XX/XX/XXXX, XXXXwhich was the due date for my XX/XX/2023 payment. I was told that they would withdraw the payment from my new checking account when I called in to change my checking account information that was on file for my automatic payments. I pay my bills on time and realized that I did not have online access to update my checking account information at that time. The associate I spoke with assured me that my payment would be made and taken from my new checking account. Payment was actually withdrawn from the old checking account which resulted in a {$32.00} NSF fee. I called again and spoke with XXXX, a supervisor who PROMISED me that my XXXX payment would be withdrawn from my new checking account. I was told that they could not issue anything to me via phone request to have the NSF fee of {$32.00} refunded back to my old checking account. I was told I had to write in. I tried that and was given an incorrect email address. When no payment was made as promised by XXXX and when I could not successfully reach anyone, I filed a complaint with CFPB. Discover stated that they would issue a check for the {$32.00} NSF fee and that if I made the XXXX payment, that they would consider waiving the late fee. That is only when I learned that I was charged a late fee for something that wasn't even my fault. I wrote in called on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, wrote in on XX/XX/XXXX, and several other times. I was never told of the late fee until they answered the CFPB compliant. I have been charged interest, late fees, and never refunded the NSF fee they claimed would be mailed to me via a check. I did not request this refund check. I need something from them stating that I should have never been charged an NSF fee so that I can undo all the damage to the old checking account that they have caused. In addition to all of these fees/interest, I started receiving collections calls. No one from Discover would speak with me regarding my account issues or waive any fees because of the CFPB compliant. I have had no other choice but to pay the late fees and associated interest. This is unfair practice and is a direct violation of debt collection regulations as it pertains to mortgages. I need the following to happen in respect to this issue that has been going on for over 30 days : A letter on Discover Home Loans Letterhead stating that the NSF fee that occurred as a result of them debiting the old checking account back on XX/XX/XXXX was due to their error. I also need them to refund all associated fees ( late fee ) and finance charges to the mortgage account. In addition, they need to speak with me regarding my account and stop hiding behind the fact that I have submitted complaints against them. They have ruined my credit with this nonsense.
