Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX Discover Card increased my credit line to double the amount of the original line. I have not missed any payments and set up automatic payments. I have had the card since XXXX never had unresolved issues. Now out of no where they have violated my consumer and constitutional rights demanding my personal non-public information and using a third party credit agency XXXX to do so. I called to resolve the issue and two different customer service representative stated the only way to continue to use my card was to comply and hand over my tax returns. I am deeply offended and injured emotional and physically not having access to my own credit now that they froze my accent and will terminate it by XX/XX/XXXX if I do not comply. The is a grave injustice and deep over steeping of boundaries and deprivation of my rights. I demand immediate relief and Arbitration as I will be contacting the Attorney General, Securities Exchange commission, IRS and the OCC.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: You never received your bill or did not know a payment was due
Consumer Complaint: I missed two payments with Discover and they did not notify after either of the missed payments, nor did they notify me of any past due payments. I called the company and they confirmed that they did not send any notifications around past due or missed payments. Had they done this after the first missed payment I could have remedied the situation, not missed a 2nd payment, and not had my credit score impacted by the late payment ( s )! Discover confirmed they have a department that provides this type of notification service but it is unknown why I was never notified and why I did not receive the same service other customers receive.

Consumer Complaint: Upon receiving my credit report, I noticed some accounts that I didn't recognize. I immediately reached out to law enforcement and made a police report that's on file. These police reports have been mailed to the companies indicating that I am a victim of fraud and that the alleged account does not belong to me. The accounts are not mines and I totally dispute them. I have requested several times for the company to validate the debt and prove that I am indeed the correct person that opened and owes the debt. These letters were sent via USPS to the company ; I have not received anything that VALIDATES the debt as of today. I know my rights, and this is a direct violation of the FDCPA Guidelines. I want the items validated or removed immediately as this is causing me distress and it is interfering with my life goals to obtain a home for my daughter and I. Before contacting an attorney for legal advice, I wanted to contact your agency for guidance.

I thought this requirment violates of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974. As I understood this, this is a vioation of rights and Discover is descriminating against people for marital status.

Consumer Complaint: For several years now, Discover Card has offered 5 % cash back from XXXX through XXXX for XXXX purchases using a Discover card. This year they seemed to have expanded it, listing " digital wallets '' as the current 5 % cash back category. XXXX is a digital wallet by definition, and since previously it was XXXX exclusively, one would think that Discover simply expanded their 5 % cash back category this year to include all digital wallets. After receiving only 1 % cash back on a Discover Card XXXX purchase earlier this month ( XXXX ), it seems that Discover is using their own definition of what a digital wallet is, instead of the generally accepted definition of a digital wallet. They are excluding XXXX from being a digital wallet, even though XXXX is definitely a digital wallet. This is very deceptive because they simply say 5 % cash back for " Gas Stations and Digital Wallets '' for XXXX through XX/XX/2023. Here is the official description of XXXX : " XXXX is a financial services company that functions primarily as a digital wallet and money transfer service. '' Thus, Discover Card is employing a deceptive promotion in excluding the longest running, best known digital wallet in existence!! And no, I have no affiliation with XXXX other than being a long time user of XXXX 's services.

Consumer Complaint: The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S. Code 1681 ) says ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. So whenever there is a violation under the FCRA, it impairs the efficiency of the banking system. This is a violation of my privacy with my consumer report, since I control what is listed and what is not. In the event that any accounts are reported without my written consent, that is considered identity theft. This is a violation of both 15 U.S. Code 1681b ( 2 ) and 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2. This leads way to civil liability against the credit reporting agency for negligent and willful noncompliance under 15 U.S. Code 1681n, which allows for {$1000.00} per violation, for account listed without my expressed written consent.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I placed an order with XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$6200.00} for a custom sofa and ottoman, with an expected delivery date of XX/XX/XXXX. I received several updates saying my order had been delayed a by a few weeks, and finally on XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from the CEO stating that the delivery has been pushed to early XX/XX/XXXX. Upon receiving this update, I submitted their XXXX Forms cancellation request since this was much too long of a wait for me, and never heard anything back from them. In XXXX, I received an email from XXXX XXXX, the law firm handling the Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors of XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), XXXX stating that anyone who had a claim to file against XXXX XXXX for money lost should do so through them. I filed this claim on XX/XX/XXXX. I never heard any response or received any updates or information as to whether or not I would receive a refund, so I called Discover ( my credit card company through whom I placed the order ) and opened a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX, sending them all of my documentation throughout the last year regarding the transaction. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from Discover saying the dispute was rejected and the charge was found valid. At the beginning of XXXX I called XXXX XXXX and asked when there would be an update on the claims filed, to which I was told " XXXX XXXX will post an update on their website on XX/XX/XXXX. No information will come from our office, only XXXX XXXX 's website ''. I have seen no such update on their website and I have not heard anything from XXXX XXXX 's office since then.
