Consumer Complaint: On XXXX / XXXX / XXXX I obtained my credit report pulled by XXXX XXXX XXXX in order to qualify for a mortgage. I noticed on my credit report I had a repossession from XXXX reporting from Credit Acceptance. I have emailed, mailed, called, and faxed correspondence in regards to seeing where this account came from. I have no recollection or did I gave anyone permission to obtain a vehicle loan in my name. Under the FCRA this company is obligated to provide any legal binding contracts with my signature showing that I signed for or gave them permission for this loan to be obtained in my name. I have not been able to get a response from the company in regards to this account.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new car, and I gave this one back to the finance company. My new car dealer drove the XXXX to XXXX for me, and he spoke with the owner regarding the vehicle. The owner made him park it in a back lot, so it would be out of his way. I followed behind, and picked the dealer up. I have a voice recording of my call to Credit Acceptance, explaining to them that I voluntarily surrendered the vehicle and returned it to the place of purchase. XXXX informed me they normally pick up the vehicle within 10 days. They will sell the XXXX at auction and bill me for the remaining balance. I requested they not call me continuously until the vehicle is auctioned. I immediately mailed my key to XXXX, who has possession of the vehicle, along with a copy of this form and the notes above the line. I drive by and check on the vehicle periodically to see if the vehicle has been picked up yet, and to ensure no vandalism has occurred. The financing company has not yet picked up the vehicle. They continue to call me multiple times a day, seven ( 7 ) days a week. Sometimes they leave voice mails, sometimes not. I only get a bit of the voice mail, which is an automated message to call them. At this point, my voice mail box is full. I refuse to clean it up and make room for more until they cease harassment and follow through with their established procedures. They call from so many different numbers ; it is nearly impossible to block them. I 've tried to compose a call history, but I can not guarantee I got them all. It makes my eyes cross and gives me a headache!

Consumer Complaint: I received a judgement ( request and writ for garnishment ) slip from a company that I contracted for last year. This debt is more than 20 years old and is not valid or right according to my research. To elaborate on the situation here are the details, purchased a vehicle back in 1996, after a time the vehicle was stolen, no use in continuing payments on a vehicle that I no longer had possession of and yes the information about the theft was provided to Credit acceptance. Fist this debt is way over the statute of limitations and secondly I have not been served any papers to appear in court to defend the validity of the case. I do not have any papers due to the fact of the age of this situation and I am looking to see if there is any remedy for me due to improper handling of an old debt.

Consumer Complaint: The company that I have an auto loan through calls me when I 'm a day late. They call me at least 5 times a day, not leaving any messages. We have asked them to stop twice, and they do not. They claim they use a " dialer '' and they have no control over that.

Consumer Complaint: My husband and I opened a car loan for a XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX we had the car repossessed for being a month and a half behind. My husband had been having health problems and returning to his old job was not an option. We paid the amount to get the car back and made a payment arrangement with them. They offered the car at {$570.00} a month and we were agreeable. Unfortunately the first payment was to be made two weeks later and we could n't do it until 6 days later, somehow we were not able to get them to do a payment arrangement and we owed all this money up front. They accepted the {$470.00} every month on the XXXX and we finally got a payment arrangement on the XX/XX/XXXX for {$470.00} that day and a {$100.00} two weeks later and we would start paying {$570.00} on the XXXX and then continue with {$100.00} every two weeks after the main payment date. We have held up our part and yesterday the XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I am having threatening calls of repossession after we already agreed on XX/XX/XXXX for payment arrangements. I checked my credit report and on both XXXX and XXXX I am current on the payments with {$0.00} behind. Credit Acceptance will not allow me to access my account online nor will they tell me why I owe {$840.00}. I have asked for them to send me a statement or an account summary 4 times now and I have yet to receive ONE. We have spent a ton of money on this vehicle and somehow we are told we owe different amounts each time I talk to a representative. It is {$370.00} or {$470.00} or {$840.00}. They NEVER tell me what I owe for but if I do n't pay today they will repossess my car. Forgive me for the angry rant, but this is really really bad for my husband 's health which he is on the XXXX list. We are both trying to make this work and each time we work something out, they call me with repossession threatening phone call. The last payment arrangement I asked for them to email me an arrangement document, they said they do n't do that. My husband told me they would n't honor it because they have yet to honor any agreement we have made. I paid on the XXXX the {$100.00}, two weeks after I made the {$470.00}. It was on the XXXX we started getting these threatening calls without being able to tell me why I owe so much. They wo n't send me anything like they have n't the 4 times I have asked. This company has crooked practices. I will NEVER EVER get another car loan through them.

Consumer Complaint: On Saturday XX/XX/2017 I received multiple phone calls from Credit Acceptance in an attempt to collect the debt I owed them. They called at XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. When I called to ask them to stop calling I was told that they would continue to call until I set up a payment plan. This is n't the first time they 've harassed me and it is n't the first time I 've asked them to stop.

Consumer Complaint: My car payments have always been made on time until this month when we fell on hard times. Although my payment was due on the XXXX of XXXX we have a 10 day grace period. On the XXXX of XXXX Credit Acceptance started calling me at work up to 5 times in an 8 hour period after being told not to contact me at work, they could reach me after XXXX at home. To make matters worse they were doing the same to my mother at work since she was my co-signer. I submitted partial payment today via online payment center and also an e-mail explaining that I would pay the remainder next week and they are calling again, I have received 2 phone calls already this morning and my mother has had 3 and it is n't even XXXX yet.
