Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I made numerous email requests of the following message- This message is time sensitive and in regards to the above mentioned account. As of XX/XX/XXXX this loan was paid off. I am currently working on refinancing my house and need information about this loan. I have received a transaction history and account statement letter. However neither of those provide information requested by my mortgage lender because your company doesnt update the credit bureau as soon as a change is made but at the end of each month. The auto generated account statement letter does not state the account is closed, in good standing, and no longer delinquent. Please send a letter as follows below. I need a letter on company letter head With my name Account number - XXXX Last payment made and amount Current account balance - {$0.00} Current account status ( closed- paid in full, in good standing and not delinquent, no current late payments ) As a consumer I have a right to receive the requested account information. This can be faxed directly to my mortgage broker at ( XXXX ) XXXX. Thank you for your time and urgency, XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX ( XXXX. ) Each time I was sent the same letter that had no change to the letter and was inadequate per the credit bureau and my mortgage broker. I also called numerous times, spoke with several different people, several different supervisors and even requested a call back from the division manager who never called me to. I was told they are not allowed to write letters with information I requested, information to correct the account information with credit bureaus. The loan was paid off 100 % and I am in the process of refinancing my home and this needed to be done in order to move forward.

Consumer Complaint: I obtained a loan through Credit Acceptance Corporation for a vehicle, that included a Vehicle Service Contract and GAP insurance products I was told I HAD to accept in order to get the loan approval. During ownership, the Service Contract didn't cover items that were specifically listed as benefits of the product such as roadside assistance, and the GAP insurance product didn't cover the outstanding balance after the vehicle was a total loss with my insurance claim payment. While waiting for the insurance company to finalize the claim, Credit Acceptance Corporation called me with an offer to pay the loan in full and even required a deposit payment from me to " lock in the agreement ''. Upon receiving the insurance check from my claim, the amount previously agreed upon changed to the original amount, which was okay with me because of the GAP coverage I purchased when I got the vehicle. I never missed a payment, never had a lapse in insurance coverage, and yet after the insurance claim and GAP coverage, I am still being pursued for almost {$2000.00}. Furthermore, my credit history shows significant late payments, damaging my ability to purchase another vehicle. After several attempts to contact Credit Acceptance Corporation to be furnished with the documents I have requested and after pleading for them to correct my credit history, I don't know what else to do except seel assistance with this matter. What's more is the fact that I put a significant amount of money down at the time of purchase, however I borrowed substantially more than the vehicle originally cost because of an undisclosed " loan origination fee '' I never agreed to nor was I made aware in the breakdown of charges. I have been deceived the entire time, blatantly lied to, taken advantage of, forced to purchase products that are useless, and now I'm being damaged by incorrectly reported information from Credit Acceptance Corporation. Please advise

Issue: Repossession
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: This is a complaint filed against Credit Acceptance Corporation due to them send my account after vehicle was repossessed and sold and sueing/ garnishment for deficiency balance, they forwarded the account over to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Ohio XXXX never had I received any prior notify, the balance once initially reported in my credit report after vehicle was repossessed and sold back in XXXX, never did I receive any notice regarding account being transferred to some place else and that a judgement against me would be filed in court, I received very late notice from the court that was sent to an old previous address that I haven't resided at in over 7 years, when I received the court docs I followed the info on how to file an motion or disagreeance to the Judge which was in XXXX and I never received no correspondence whether email, mail, or by phone of the order was granted to garnish my wages, I was blind sided today when I checked my paystub and it said garnishment for over {$1900.00} ... ... ... now I went over these original supposedly loan docs that are attach to the paperwork I previously received and some information on the loan is incorrect, I didn't put {$3300.00} as a down payment not one bit, as a matter of fact when I purchased the vehicle the sales/ finance rep that assisted me to complete the sale even advised me to not inform Credit Acceptance when they do the welcome call that I DIDN'T put {$3300.00} and that I was still making a way lesser down payment in installments to the dealership and was still able to pull off with the vehicle, it just makes no sense to me, that Credit Acceptance basically gets all their money back and collateral while consumers are left in this mess to deal with, also I did research and there is a lawsuit with the CFPB and NY Attorney Generals office concerning similar matter and also in other states,

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX / XXXX concerning my 2015 XXXX XXXX 4D Hatchback, Upon purchase, I was presented with a sale price that has since felt misleading and exorbitant, as detailed in my declaration paper. Furthermore, the vehicle has proven to be mechanically unsound, culminating in a complete engine failure just two weeks after purchase, rendering the car unsafe and undrivable. Given the severity of these issues, which directly contravene the assurances of safety and reliability I was provided at the point of sale, I am seeking an intervention from your office. I request a thorough investigation into the dealership 's practices, and I am looking for either a full reimbursement for the car or the return of my down payment. I am prepared to provide any necessary documentation upon request. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
