Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased XXXX worth of Tether on the Coinbase app. I then had Coinbase to wire the Tether to a trading platform : XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I learned that the website was a fake trading platform. Very sophisticated, but fake. I had done previous trades and money wires the week of XX/XX/XXXX from this very same platform/website, so I thought the trading website was legit. After wanting to withdraw my money from the platform is when they showed it was a scam. They would not release my initial deposit. I contacted Coinbase, this was the response : they knew who the money went to and had the blockchain information. They said I should always know who I'm sending my money to and that they could not help me get my money back. Signing up with Coinbase, I did not know that I would be able to send my tether or bitcoin to a fraudulent person or company. I felt protected and did not know fake companies could sign up to do business with Coinbase. As a consumer and customer of Coinbase that is based in the US I had no doubt that they would not protect my virtual currency. They are the experts not me, I had no idea anyone could claim to be a trading website and receive monetary transfers from legitimate companies like Coinbase. Coinbase is assisting with money laundering scams and fraud. Now the trading site has been taken down. None of my money has been returned. I have contacted government agencies and no one has responded with any helpful plan of action. Its very unfair and wrong.

Consumer Complaint: There was a fraud on XXXX and I reported it to Coinbase and they assured me that they were not going to release those funds, however they did against my consent. I phoned them 3 times that day, explaining them it was a fraud. They also sent me an email saying that those funds ( {$800.00} aprox ) where not going to be released before XXXX when I authorize the transaction ( email attached. ) however they did not follow through and released those funds on XXXX. I have called Coinbase for about one month now, and they have all types of excuses for not returning the funds, and they run around not taking any responsibility.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Coinbase account that was compromised beyond my control. My account was inaccessible on or about XX/XX/XXXX and allegedly hacked on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX pst. My devices and accounts show no sign of being tampered with. My phone carrier checked my device and confirmed that the Sim card was never ported to a new device. My email has been protected with XXXXXXXX XXXX Account XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX according to my activity log and shows no suspicious 3rd party activity. Furthermore My email account was blocking all messages from Coinbase so it would of never received a " hyperlink '' to make any changes with my Coinbase account. When my Coinbase was recovered it shows that I lost approximately XXXX Shib Inu coin.
