Consumer Complaint: Coinbase tech support contacted me, same day, as the complaint I recorded on Coinbase tech support page. The original issue was problems logging in. Tech support said they needed access to my computer. When they did they did suddenly the first week of XX/XX/2021 ; my Coinbase account was drained of over {$3000.00} invested in XXXX. I registered a complaint ( ref : XXXX ) When I returned the call of the tech, named " XXXX '' ( phone # : XXXX ). He said that this was standard procedure and the money would return after the lockout was solved. [ I suspect Coinbase or associates just outright STOLE MY MONEY ] Now weeks later the response to my login is " the account is suspended and I should contact " tech support ''. This is a vicious cycle! Coinbase.com has only responded to my complaint with bot responses. NO ACTION!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/21 I signed up for a Coinbase account. This allowed me to make purchases for XXXX and XXXX via this site, which i did. On XX/XX/21 I lost access to my account and reported the issue to support. In signing up for service, my account access 2-factor for security was set up via SMS text. On XX/XX/21, my 2-factor SMS text was disabled by Coinbase thereby disabling my access to my account. Since then, customer support has refused to assist me in resolving this matter. As of today, I still do not have access to my account. Coinbase 's actions have caused me damages by not allowing me access to my account to withdraw funds, or sell my position to avoid losing money.

In the initial CFPB complaint, XXXX, coinbase responded with an apology and {$15.00} on XX/XX/2021 with a resolution of moving the funds from my vault to wallet under the existing support case. Now as of XX/XX/2021, coinbase closed my support case XXXX without moving the funds from the vault to my wallet, as promised. This seems like clear retaliation for opening a CFPB complaint.

Consumer Complaint: For well over a month my Coinbase account has told me that " Buys are currently disabled '' for my account. The only option listed is to go to their FAQ which says that it's typically due to a chargeback on the account, in which case I would need to contact Customer Support via email, due to incomplete/incorrect ID which would need to be updated, or if not to still contact Customer Support via email. I sent 3 email requests to them over the last 30 days and the only response I get is the automated message of " We've received your request and will respond shortly ''. They have no other means of contact unless you think the account has been compromised which I don't think it has just that there is something preventing me from trading fully on their platform. I am able to transfer/sell currency but not invest/buy anything with no clear indication as to why.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an Account with Coinbase XX/XX/2021. I transferred XXXX and purchased BitCoin XX/XX/2021. I lost my cell which contained my 2FA authentication. I notified Coinbase XX/XX/2021 and they immediately locked my account to protect my account and assets. I replaced the phone and requested access back to the account. ( The old phone was located on my property where I lost it yet was destroyed by rain. ) My Coinbase account was never touched or accessed by anyone but me. They assigned me case # XXXX It been a month and they have not responded to my various attempts to regain access to my account and my assets. My request is very simple : Please send me instructions on how to get back into my account so I can continue trading.

Consumer Complaint: I'm coinbase customer since 2017. A few weeks ago, coinbase asked me to verify my account again. So I did provide all necessary information and uploaded my ID card. Since then my account is restricted cause it's being reviewed for so long. In my account I get the message " Account under review. Your account is currently being reviewed and we need some time to verify your info. During this review, you won't be able to use Coinbase. Reviews generally take a few days, so sign in every day or two to check your status. '' I can not buy/sell/convert any currency and I can not send/receive funds. So my money is literally locked at coinbase now for weeks. I already submitted a ticket XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX but they aren't helping me.
