Consumer Complaint: I received a notice of an attempt to collect a debt from Jefferson Capital Systems LLC which is dated XX/XX/XXXX, it references that I had a XXXX XXXX account from XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and that as of XX/XX/XXXX I owe {$840.00} but also this is the total amount of the debt. The letter states I can contact Jefferson Capital by calling or writing to them by XX/XX/XXXX to dispute all or part of the debt and in doing so they must stop collection on any amount I dispute until they send me information that shows I owe the debt. My concern as of today 's date which is XX/XX/XXXX is that upon checking my credit report with XXXX Jefferson Capital has posted this collection with XXXX and maybe the other agencies as well. The derogatory information was reported to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and today my credit score has dropped. I find this to be highly unethical on their part since they have not given me the time indicated in their notice to respond whether by writing or calling them. It is my request that they immediately remove this negative information from all XXXX credit agencies asap.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX I am a consumer submitting this complaint on the behalf of my self without any influence from any third party being involved. Fraud had been committed my consumer report, which violates the FCRA and FDCPA. Jefferson Capital is using extortionate means to collect on an alleged debt. I do not owe that resulted from extension of credit which violates tittle 18 USC 892-894 and constitutes racketeering actives and extortion. On XX/XX/XXXX I got a letter from Jefferson Capital about an alleged debt, on XXXX/XXXX I sent a debt validation letter, on XX/XX/XXXX I sent a second debt validation letter. On XX/XX/XXXX Jefferson Capital stated they are closing the account but didn't mention about deleting it from my consumer report. This is a notice sent as per the Fair debt Collection Practice Act ( F.D.C.P.A ) 15 U.S.C. 1692 ( G ) section 809 ( B ). This is a request for accounting request raiding list of collateral or statement of account reference to U.C.C 9-210. This authenticated record must include all tax fillings ( including all 1099 's, and 1098 's ) any and all trades and /or investments and /or interests associated with this account of which I am alleged to be a party. This is also a Notice exercising my rights to prevent the processing of my personal data by Jefferson Capital. Please be advised that providing a memorandum or other statement from your agency, stating that Jefferson Capital the assignment of the account was transferred shall be deemed insufficient. Failure to substantiate the claim, please settle the accounts immediately and cease and desist all communication and have these trade lines deleted from my consumer report immediately and send conformation. PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU ARE IN VIOLATION OF MY CONSUMER RIGHTS AND THE FDCPA.

Consumer Complaint: This debt buying company, Jefferson Capital, recently added a derogatory account to my credit report. All three bureaus, in fact. They say I have an {$870.00} debt with a XXXX mastercard dating back to XXXX. Upon checking my credit scores, no debt with this information appeared before XXXX. The company reportedly bought it back in XXXX of XXXX. I received notice of a debt collection on my credit report on XXXX of XXXX. I quickly started disputes with XXXX and XXXX, XXXX did not show a new mark but did drop my score XXXX points. I reported a fraudulent act to these bureaus and was told it would be 30 days. I reached out to this parasite company and told them that I never had a verve mastercard and that this card had been fraudulently opened without my permission. 7 years ago, according to them. They said they'd mark it as fraudulent. I have NEVER had a XXXX XXXX, I would think the proof would be as simple as the credit bureau checking through my information and seeing that that card has never reported on my credit report. Surely, if I defaulted on a credit card, I would have heard about it before 7 years had passed, right?
