Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file complaint against JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS for their violations of consumer protection laws and misrepresentation of information on my credit report. I request your assistance in addressing these issues and taking appropriate action against JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS : JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS has failed to supply proof under the doctrine of estoppel by silence, as established in the case of Engelhardt v. Gravens ( MO ) XXXX XXXX XXXX. Based on this legal principle, I presume that no proof of the alleged debt exists, and therefore, the debt itself does not exist. I requested that JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS provide me with the completed original contracts, including all endorsements and assignments, pertaining to the account they have reported on my credit report. In the absence of such evidence, I urge JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS to promptly remove all inaccurate or unverifiable information related to the account from my credit report. Furthermore, I request that JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS ceases reporting this disputed information to any third parties immediately. JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS has violated 15 U.S. Code 1692e - False or misleading representations. Specifically, they have committed an act of reporting inaccurate information to the credit bureaus regarding alleged charged-off account, falsely representing them as open balances from the original creditor. It is important to note that charge-off debts must be reported to the IRS on Form 1099-C. Failure to comply with this requirement results in noncompliance with applicable tax laws, rendering such debts ineligible for assignment to a debt collector. Therefore, I request that JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS provide me with the completed original contract, including all endorsements and assignments, pertaining to the accounts they have reported on my credit report, as well as the contract I have with JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS. If they are unable to provide this documentation, I insist that all inaccurate or unverifiable information related to these accounts be promptly removed from my credit report. Additionally, I demand that JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS cease the reporting of this disputed information to any third parties without delay. I want to bring to your attention that JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS have shown a pattern of violating consumer protection laws by purchasing accounts that have been charged off and cancelled by Form 1099-C. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and a thorough investigation of the reported violations by JEFFERSON CAPTIAL SYSTEMS. I expect that appropriate actions will be taken to rectify these issues, hold the company accountable, and ensure compliance with consumer protection laws. Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern ; I have recently reviewed my credit report and had noticed huge discrepancies. I have noticed your agency, Jefferson capital systems, a collector of debts, attempting to collect a debt I am not aware of. I have never received a letter of debt validation from your agency. I believe you are legally bound to do so before collecting on said debt. I, as a consumer, has the right to validate and or dispute the alleged debt. If youd be so kind to provide me with a few things as proof of validation of the alleged debt owed and any late payments accrued I would greatly appreciate it. A copy of the original contract or original purchase agreement that created the alleged debt. if the original contract is sent, it must include signatures for all parties. Any agreement sent must be with the original creditor and must include the original terms and conditions of the agreement that created the alleged debt, including all addendums and riders. In addition, please send proof of chain of ownership of the alleged debt and include proof of assignment for each change of ownership, Proof of chain of ownership must be from the original creditor to the current alleged owner without any break in the chain. Also include a full accounting history from the original creditor including the date and leading amount of each payment and the Date of First Delinquency to the collection status. lf any interest or fees have accrued or been added onto the balance, please send proof that such fees are lawful and agreed upon in the original purchase agreement. Proof you are legally allowed to collect on alleged debt in the state of Pennsylvania, including collect on alleged Third-Party Debt Collection Bonds. Also send proof that you sent the legally required notices to me before reporting this alleged debt to any consumer reporting agencies, including any copies of the original notice and any letter tracking your firm maintains. FTC vs Midwest recovery systems make clear that it " debt parking without proper notices is a violation of consumers rights.

Consumer Complaint: Jefferson capital systems has XXXX debts in my name one I paid them for after they sued me with out informing me properly and forced me to go into a financial hardship I am now barely making rent or anything else. The second is a debt for phone bill from an account I never opened I have disputed it several times and they refuse to remove the debt as mine and as a result I have no choice but to put it in a debt management program and report them to you to get this resolved.

Consumer Complaint: 2022 I discovered I was the victim of fraud and that my credit information was being used by others. I had approximately {$28000.00} stolen from my bank account and had to close and open a new account. Numerous credit accounts were opened unknown to me, in my name. At the time a relative was living with me and using my credit information, my social security no. and other vital information in my name. I reported that these were not my charges, this was written off by the credit card co. and sold to a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have requested a police report from the police department in XXXX, PA, and requested assistance from the XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX PA and reached out to the Pennsylvania Attorney General with no help. After months of corresponding with the Area Agency on Aging, they promised they were speaking to Police Dept., Secret Service to track down and then discovered they were no longer assisting. My brother, who was living with me at the time, died XX/XX/2022 and had been using my credit and opening these cards- I believe another party who he met on the internet and I believe was being scammed, was involved and using this information as well ... These are charges I did not make and I am not aware of but can get no help in getting this resolved.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I tried to re-open a XXXX XXXX account because I was not happy with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I tried, XXXX XXXX told me that I had a {$890.00} balance/debt to pay before I can re-open a XXXX XXXX account XXXX I made the payments in ( 3 ) three separate transactions because I did not have the full {$890.00} available in my bank account. After the transaction, the {$890.00} was successfully paid AND I was able to re-open my XXXX XXXX account, which is still my current cell phone service provider. XXXX still sold the account totaling exactly what I already paid, {$890.00} to Jefferson Capital Systems LLC and it showed on my credit report in Collections, which destroyed my credit. I have proof, ( 3 ) separate emails from XXXX XXXX emailing me of the successful payments totaling {$890.00} on XX/XX/2019. I have also contacted XXXX XXXX numerous times to get some assistance in removing the collections entirely because it is FALSE. Every time I called, the representative would " make note '' and have their supervisor or a representative from a different department call me the following business day. I NEVER received a phone call in response to my claim.
