I have ring camera footage and people willing to testify in court that this happened. It honestly started to scare me. I tried calling It's all automation, when I put in my information it states my account is being handled by yet another company and states to hang up and call another phone number/ company. I tried using Jefferson Capitals online service but when I put in my information online it states they can not find my information. If I owe anyone I'm willing to pay but I need proof of what I owe and whom I owe. I do believe they're using false tactics in order to collection.

Consumer Complaint: I am having an issue with a mysterious, old debt related to my XXXX XXXX account that I closed in XX/XX/. It was closed with XXXX debt. I have emails from XXXX stating that my account balance is XXXX dollars. I have emails documenting my account activity. I paid my bill using autopay from my debit card. XXXX had my card on file. In XXXX of this year I received an email from XXXX stating that I have an outstanding balance of {$44.00}. Apparently they were collecting for Jefferson Capital, who was collecting for XXXX XXXX. I asked for details, explaining the whole thing in detail. I am attaching a printout of my email communication with XXXX. They acknowledge that they don't have a record for me and told me they will cease collection activity on my account ( please refer to the attachments for a detailed overview ). XXXX account fell of my XXXX credit report after that conversation. They never stopped harassing me via email despite their multiple statements that they are not collecting on the debt anymore. Eventually I just blocked their address. This brings us to today, I checked my XXXX credit report, and that collections account is back on my credit report. I have explained my times that I will pay what I owe, I need to know what I am paying for and why. This is beyond frustrating, I know I can just " resolve '' the issue by paying the {$44.00}. It doesn't fair or prudent though. Thank you for your help. XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have many more emails that I can forward. I would need an email address though.
