Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX a collection account from XXXX was removed from all 3 major credit bureaus after several disputes. XX/XX/XXXX I had a VA mortgage lender pull my report for a home loan, which DID NOT REFLECT the removed debt. On XX/XX/XXXX I woke up to an alert from XXXX that a delinquency debt was placed on my credit. I was NOT notified by the 3rd party debt collection agency JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS prior to this. I immediately called the number provided and was told by their agent that they did not handle that type of account and provided me with another number to call. Upon speaking with now a 4th party XXXX XXXX regarding this debt ( that was removed prior ), I was told that they did not need to send any information and they had the right to place the debt on my credit. I told the representative that they were required to send me all correct information regarding this account as well as provide 30 days for me to respond or dispute. The representative did not speak clear English and talked in circles. Despite the communication issue over the phone, These two companies are unwilling to take the legal steps, especially for an account that was REMOVED entirely from all bureaus! I immediately filed a dispute with XXXX and was notified 24 hours later that this account is accurate. I am beside myself with frustration!

Consumer Complaint: I had a debt for collection in the amount of XXXX from XXXX XXXX who was sold to Jefferson Capital Systems ( JCS ) and XXXX XXXX XXXX in which both companies sent me letters for debt collection, i paid the amount of XXXX to JCS on XX/XX/XXXX as a settlement and to also remove it from my credit profile. Although the account was paid, i talked to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX still wants to collect the amount of XXXX to remove the account i had already paid to JCS. They told me JCS wasnt supposed to collect and that i still owe them the original debt.
