Consumer Complaint: Hello, I received a letter from Jefferson Capital stating I owed {$340.00} from XXXX XXXX. I was very suspicious as I only used XXXX once, not for that amount or near it. I contacted chat support and they confirmed that this was not mine, I had no debt and that they do not even use this company. I am not sure if the company is at fault ( Jefferson Capital ) because there was no way to get in touch with them other than postal mail, and that is not easily tracked, and their phone system was not working ( my account number was not working ) though when I did put my account number ( from them ) in their system online, it did show up with my personal information! That being said, I could not contact them that way either - only to pay the alleged bill. So, I have proof ( screenshot ) that I do not have a debt nor ever did with XXXX. This is identity theft and I need it addressed and not to be on my credit. Date of letter XX/XX/XXXX though I received it on XX/XX/XXXX Amount : XXXX Debt Description : XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed this is not mine at all* They gave me the option to dispute but I can only use postal mail or phone, both of which are impossible for me to properly track in a timely manner. The month they say is late i have proof i was with XXXX so this should not be showing up on my credit at all. Im XXXX and this has been a ongoing thing and Ive been working on my credit day in and day out. This really saddens me to know as I am fighting this war this is a another issue I am having to fight. I just would like this remove so i can continue my credit journey and growth.

Consumer Complaint: I received a phone call from collection agency from a blocked # then the rep talked to me with out authentication there is a XXXX & XXXX in my house Gould the balance on the account was {$560.00} they offered me a settlement for XXXX XXXX and something dollars asked the rep did the purchase this debt sat yes I offered him a lower amount said he need to bring his Supervisior on line talked with his Supervisor XXXX XXXX who also discussed the debt without authentication told him I never received anything in writing from your office and I believe you have the wrong person then he states are you threatening me to take an lessor amount of money I stated how can I threaten you to take my money told him Im going to file a complaint against there office for 3rd party disclosure and not authenticating you have the right person on line didnt ask for my date of birth or social security # Collection agency name is Jefferson Capitol Llc XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Mn XXXX there in violation for not authenticating they have the right party on lime and calling me before they mailed something in writing.

XXXX that I owed to XXXX since XXXX but I explained that I paid it, long time when I changed to other phone company. They insisted to charge me that money and theyre calling threatening me. During the pandemic also called many times a day. Now I found a derogatory marks on my credit report. I feel very frustrated cause My credit score went down. I find that Jefferson Capital Syst made a derogatory entry on XX/XX/2021, causing my credit score to decrease substantially. I am U.S. military member. I do not know what company this is, nor have I received any form of communication prior to this entry being made on my credit report. 18 points have dropped from my XXXX credit score and 13 points from my XXXX credit score.

Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capital Systems refuses to investigate my dispute. I have opened 3 separate disputes and the company has not provided any proof that the debt was incurred by me. They continue to send collection letters by mail. There website gives no option for dispute and my call was disconnected when to attempted to call. They continue to ignore the dispute process and attempt to collect on an account that was opened fraudulently.
