Consumer Complaint: I received a letter last year stating that a card was opened in my name and there was a {$280.00} balance. I knew this wasn't mine and wrote a letter requesting a list of charges. All of the activity was in Arizona. I do not live in Arizona and I have never been there. During this same time, another account opened in my name as a result of fraud, fortunately I was able to successfully dispute it. Looking into the account, I realized that I was not contacted until almost a year after it was opened. I contacted the debt collector and did not get far with them. During the phone call they could not identify me. They asked or my current and past addresses, as well as my phone number. No of my addresses matched what they had on file and they stated they were unable to help me because they could not verify my identity. A couple of weeks ago I tried to dispute using XXXX and they disagreed. I received a letter with an offer of paying {$160.00}, which is not a lot. However, I do not wish to pay and they consider the payment is me admitting that this is my debt. I have exceptional payment history for my other accounts and this makes my account look bad because its a collection and shows up as multiple late payments.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I paid a few bills on my credit report, one for XXXX XXXX with an outstanding balance ( Confirmation : XXXX ) for {$1300.00}. About a week later I signed up with XXXX XXXX to help repair my credit. After a month I noticed that charge was still on my report but being reported by Jefferson Capitol. I called them to try to give them the confirmation # and the gentleman yelled at me that " You shouldn't have paid XXXX that should have gone to us '' He told me to send over my bank statement that I had paid this so I did. Fast forward months in time and I'm still no closer to getting this taken off. I've called XXXX and Jefferson Capitol multiple times to try to get this resolved. The collection agency keeps telling me that it doesn't matter if I've paid XXXX that I still owe them another {$1300.00}. I've since sent all documentation to XXXX XXXX to send disputes to XXXX XXXX and XXXX but even if it's removed it could still show as something owed. I was told to contact you to hopefully get this taken care of. I'm trying to build my credit to help my kids go to college and I'm running out of time. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: I've been disputing fraud accounts on my credit report since XX/XX/2021. I keep sending multiple sets of letters to the bureaus and the creditors so the excuse of " we didn't get it '' doesn't happen. Furthermore, each letter is certified mail with tracking and each letter shows signed and delivered and yet the bureaus are still not taking any actions. The accounts are not showing in dispute nor are they removed from my report. The accounts always show up with different name variations and different account number variations and yet the bureaus seem to ignore the trend and let these fraud accounts affect my credit score. I have requested the investigation to be initiated and also verifiable proof to be submitted should the account claim to be mine. Not only have I not received any mail showing the verifiable proofs needed to justify the accounts to be on my report, I haven't even received any letters at all stating the investigations have begun. Per the FCRA and federal law, the process is supposed to be 30 days. 60 days later, I'm still here shelling out money for certified mail with no end in sight and no results to show. This is my last option before I take this up with my lawyers and sue for full compensations and damages incurred. Finally, it seems that when these complaints are submitted, the bureaus are using the excuse that they " can't confirm my identity '' to get away with taking no actions on my credit report. Please investigate this as well.

I have been using straight talk or XXXX XXXX XXXX as a phone provider for over 5 years. This debt should not be on my credit report. I have received no information or account numbers from Jefferson Capital Systems that will allow me to review their claims to prove that I owe them for a debt. Every email I have received from Jefferson Capital doesn't provide me with any information or account numbers I can use to reference my debt. They send me links all of the time that wont allow me to make payments even if I wanted to pay this phony debt.
