Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have repeatedly disputed a fraudulent charged off account that is showing on my credit reports. As soon as my wallet was lost, I immediately contacted all my cards and canceled them and when I begin to see fraudulent accounts showing up on my credit report I contacted the police. I have worked very hard for my stellar credit, however I can't seem to get this inaccurate information removed permanently from my report. This company has an account that is fraudulent and they are reporting it as if it was mines. I have tried everything, but they still will not do whats right. This company is bullying me and tarnishing my credit even after Ive pleaded with them to seek the truth and do the right thing and remove this fraudulent charge off of my account and stop reporting it to the three major bureaus. Please help me. The next step is legal action

Despite these attempts, Jefferson Capital failed to provide legal verification of any alleged debt. Since the requested information was never received, I presume that no proof of the alleged debt exists, nor therefore any such debt, in fact therefore exists.

Consumer Complaint: The company sent a letter months back stating I owed them money at which time I called and informed them they needed to contact my attorney as this was settled in bankruptcy. I get another letter today dated XX/XX/XXXX that I have until XX/XX/XXXX to pay them {$7700.00} remaining on the debt. This account was closed in my bankruptcy and it is against the law for them to be contacting me at all in regard to paying any remaining balance on this account. I have already told them once before that they needed to contact my attorney and they have ignored going that route. My bankruptcy was finalized as of XX/XX/XXXX and the vehicle is still taking up space on my property. I converted to CHXXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and they had ample amount of time to say anything to my attorney as well as come and pick up the vehicle. It has been sitting on my property taking up space and getting in the way for 10 months now and I am well within my rights to file a petition with the court to collect fees up to {$10.00} a day for rental space on the property. I will plan on proceeding with this within the next 30 days if I don't hear anything back. I am sending a copy of the letter from Jefferson to my bankruptcy attorney as well as he is within his rights to pursue any legal ramifications in regard to this matter.

Consumer Complaint: From my limited understanding, someone opened a XXXX account under my name on XX/XX/2020 and spent {$3400.00}. The original creditor is XXXX. Currently the creditor is Jefferson Capital System. One of their debt collector agencies contacted me a few months ago. I informed them the account was not mine. The account was opened under an email, physical address, and phone number that did not belong to me. XXXX has already blocked the account from my credit score report. XXXX denied my request to block the account from my credit report. I filed my dispute with XXXX today. XXXX requested further information from me in order to block the account. They were not specific as to what information they required. I hope that this complaint will help me continue to contest this fraudulent account.

JCS Reference # XXXX Debt Description : XXXX XXXX Amount of Debt:XXXX I have over the Phone as well as in Writing Told Jefferson Capital that this is not my Debt. I have repeatedly told them they need to Verify this Debt. They need to send me Documentation I personally Signed with Copies of my ID where I opened this account. I have told them this is the law under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. However they never respond other than to keep calling and keep sending me Letters. So I told them please do not contact me about the Matter anymore as I am not going to pay it. As they are able to show any Proof that this account is mine.. Still no Response on the matter just more Phone calls and more letters. I think they think they can Bully People into Paying these False claims they have. Also this is making it really hard being on my Credit report. It is causing me undue XXXX by keeping my Credit Score Lower than it should be. So What I am asking is that since they have Failed after Numerous attempts requested to show me the Proof of the account. As well they have Failed to Stop Contacting me as I requested. Which is also FCRA Rules. They need to Remove this Close and Remove this account from my Credit Report Immediately.

Consumer Complaint: .Jefferson Capital systems is actively trying to collect a debt {$470.00} for XXXX that is from XXXX and was a charge off in XXXX. Jefferson 2 years later XXXX starts collection process reports collection debt on my credit report. Montana state law states debt collection must stop and cease 5 years after debt was aquired! It's been 9 years when debt originated XXXX! Need this off credit report ASAP and that my credit report be updated accurately and report reflects score that should have been positive score since XXXX before putting this on credit report in first place! This has effected my ability to get loans at lower interest rates or refinance current loans!! Jefferson Capital Systems is breaking the law by actively trying to collect a debt that is almost 10 years old!!

They have had 90 days, which I have given you more than enough time and 3 dispute letters were sent to resolve this and you have failed. Now it is time to DELETE the accounts per the FCRA
