Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capitol has been repeatedly calling, harassing, with phone calls, and with threatening actions to collect a debt. They have been told verbally and by certified mail to stop the harassing tactics and phone calls. They have repeatedly ignored the verbal and written requests to stop the phone calls. The last phone calls, where on XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022. I have a call log, date, time and length of each call. The callers name, was XXXX and wouldn't provide any other information. The supervisors name was XXXX and wouldn't supply anything further either.

Consumer Complaint: I had opened a phone account with XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I stopped paying on the account in XXXX ( exact date unknown ) when I lost my job and could no longer afford my phone. Eventually, the account went to a collection agency in XXXX I believe. However, my credit report shows the collection account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX but that is not correct. That may be when the account was sold to the current agency, but the account was originally reported in XXXX and therefore, is too old to appear on my credit report. I have disputed this with XXXX several times but the issue remains unchanged. I have contacted XXXX XXXX to obtain only the dates of which I opened my account with XXXX and the date of which the account was closed due to non payment. The representative I spoke with refused to provide this information to me because I was no longer a customer and was told I would need to contact the collection agency with any questions I had. However, if I reach out to the collection agency, this will restart the time for which the account will appear on my credit, another XXXX years. I am submitting this complaint against XXXX XXXX for the fact that they refused to provide me with information pertaining to my own account after providing requested personal identifying information to verify my identity. As a consumer, I should be afforded the courtesy of accurate information requested while investigating my own account information. Instead, I was treated unfairly and spoken to in a manner that was highly disrespectful. I believe XXXX XXXX is withholding information pertaining to my account unlawfully and I want this investigated immediately. Thank you

Further, I certify that I am permitted by FEDERAL and STATE LAW to file this dispute. I also understand that knowing and willful misstatements or omissions of material facts constitutes a FEDERAL CRIMINAL VIOLATION punishable under 18 USC 1001. Additionally, these misstatements are punishable as perjury under 18 usc 1621. This collection found within my credit report are not related to any transaction that I made. Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capital Systems LLC successfully manage to file and win a judgment against me without me knowing anything about their claim. I received a letter from a local court notifying me that Jefferson Capital Systems LLC was granted a default judgment against me. I have never had any type of account with Jefferson Capital Systems LLC. My name is very common in the XXXX Texas XXXX. Additional, the veracity of the claim hasnt been fully explored beyond a shadow of a doubt ( by me ) that includes examining the subject accounts owner, receiving a full accounting of all charges, full account payment history, reviewing the account contract, plaintiffs evidence of subject account ownership, evidence of plaintiffs attempts to make aware of impending lawsuit prior to filling, determining if plaintiff attorneys is working within Texas or is from out of state, reviewing the statute of limitations for the action- among other considerations. As such, is Jefferson Capital Systems LLC has disregarding federal laws designed to protect consumers at large. I urge the federal government start a full-scale audit/investigation on Jefferson Capital Systems LLCs practices including looking into all cases won by default judgment across the nation and prosecute all individuals in this operation that helped in any way to get any illegal judgment.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received a demand payment notice regarding account number XXXX dated XXXX XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX collections agency for an unpaid XXXX XXXX debt of {$1800.00}. When calling the company, the female debt collector stated the account was attached to my social security number. I demanded to know how did XXXX gain access to it and personal information since there was a security freeze put on my credit files in XXXX, and another one put into place in XXXX after reporting identity theft in XXXX of that year. I stated that someone had used my personal information to open a XXXX account and then created a bill in spite of the security freeze placed with all three credit reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: A year ago a Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC contacted me claiming I owe a debt that I know for fact never happened. They claim I had a XXXX account years ago. I never made any large transactions using XXXX. I disputed this claim and reported it as fraud. They said they would delete it from their system. I contacted XXXX and they said that I never had an account and show no records or any transaction. They believe that someone stole my identity or this was a scam. On or about XX/XX/22 another company XXXX, XXXX contacted me about the same debt owed. The original company Jefferson Capital lied to me and did not delete the debt, instead the soled my information to another company XXXX. I contacted them and gave them the same information. Neither company will provide me with any details as evidence or documentation to this fraudulent transaction. Both companies REFUSE to provide any evidence or documentation. Both companies continue to lie, and harrassment. Again I asked to dispute this debt and mark as fraud. On further investigation I have found out that XXXX doesn't even have account numbers as provided by these companies and as such the account number provided by XXXX XXXX is fictitious. Both companies are financial fraudsters using made up debts and account numbers. They are scammers. Also after investigation XXXX and associated reviews and reports online I find out that they have numerous complaints with others doing the same scam scheme. I want this abusive fraudulent behavior and contact to stop immediately and for these companies to be held liable for this conduct. Both companies should be investigated. I will seek legal action against both companies if this does not stop immediately. If they sell my personal information again to any other company legal action will be taken. The original personal information was not provided by me and I question how they obtained my information in the first place. Possible identity theft used to scam. If they report this debt to the credit union I will seek legal actions and sue for damages, unfair practices, harrassment, etc.

Consumer Complaint: I find out that collection agencies are transferring, and, or selling disputed XXXX charge-off accounts amongst each other in a deliberate attempt to prolong how long negative records stay on my credit report and by so doing preventing my XXXX score from increasing. The four companies are : 1. XXXX XXXX 2. Jefferson Capital XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX I was a victim of identity theft which resulted in the issuance of credit cards in my name to XXXX While several of the credit card issuing companies reviewed my claim and closed the cards, others chose to charge-off the balance owed, all of which occurred preXXXX. I filed police report and secured my credit record with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Subsequently, I refused to file for bankruptcy as advised by debt collectors, The debt collectors harassed me relentlessly asking to collect debts I did not owe. I wrote them all back asking for records of the alleged debts, including, signed copy of debt-application, record of debts alleged, and, or credit card usage, the signed-invoices, date-stamped video recordings while cards were being used. Also schedule of items purchased, or the description of products or services the alleged credit cards were used for. I also asked for date-stamped receipts of collection agency purchase of the alleged debts to compare with issuing card company charge-off date. Notwithstanding my requests to these collection companies, I expect that all negative reporting on these preXXXX charged-off accounts should have come-off my credit reports by now. Can you please check in with these companies for reasons why they would want to sell and resell these charged off accounts ( to their subsidiaries and, or affiliates ) so that they can keep renewing the reporting on my credit report, not considering the accounts have been charged off since XXXX.
