Consumer Complaint: I purchased two tickets for XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/ and the festival date was XX/XX/XXXX The festival cancelled the event XXXX hours before its beginning and promised refunding everyone. They never refunded the money for two tickets. The amount is {$200.00}. I called my credit card company ( CITIZENS BANK ) XXXX XXXX and disputed this transaction. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I got a letter from the bank to include more documents for them. I sent the information to them via email on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX Then I didnt hear back until I called them again and they requested a call back from the dispute department for me. Its strange that their dispute department doesnt have a direct number!!!! Then in a few days someone calls and promises that they will send me a letter to give me an update about the dispute. Since then I havent heard anything. I called them 3 times again to request another call back but heard nothing. This credit card company is irresponsible and thief. I am waiting for this dispute to complete and close my credit card with them. I just read that they are being fined XXXX XXXX dollars for not handling disputes and fraud well. Please help me with my issue. I am a XXXX so this amount is a lot for me. You are my last hope.

Consumer Complaint: I had a scheduled ACH come out of my account for {$470.00} and it made my account go negative XXXX so they sent the payment back. I saw the payment failed and I made a debit card payment to the company so my electric wouldnt get shut off. Then I saw a couple days later that the electric company went ad retried the old payment even though I made the payment before then. I contacted the bank and filed a dispute against the ACH to get it credited back and removed from my electric account. I told them repeatedly the transaction was an accident from the company and that my account is not compromised or anything. They put it under review and I have called COUNTLESS times and talked to so many people, they assured me the money was credited and would be reflected in the account ( still is not weeks later ) and also that they are closing my account. I tried to take out the money I had in it and they wont let me do that either. My electric company already has the payment off my account so it makes no sense what citizens did with my money. And when I went in person to ask again, the clerk was told theyre not allowed to give me any details other than its closing and Ill receive a check. But nothing has happened and the money still isnt there. They refuse to give me actual answers.

Consumer Complaint: This regards a bonus offer of {$600.00} for opening a checking account to which there would be direct deposits. The requirements were fulfilled but the bonus paid was only {$300.00}. When signing up for this, I was responding to a specific code. When I phoned regarding this issue, I was told I didn't have enough numbers for the correct code. But when talking with a supervisor, I was told that the bank had no record of the code which specifies all the details of the offer. Obviously, someone is lying. She claimed there never was such a bonus offer. The code is XXXX ( or could be XXXX ... can't read my own handwriting. ) It has been my experience in trying to get banks to fullly pay the bonus due that they endeavor to not pay or pay less and put up as many obstacles as possible. This is across the board with 3 banks. The CFPB needs to look into this issue. It is bad.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Citizens Bank checking and savings account on XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/XXXX, Citizens bank closed my account without giving me any reason leading to my direct deposit being returned and causing a host of other problems with other payers where I was intending to use my account. Citizens Bank has refused to provide any information on why my account was closed. They then sent me a letter to visit a branch and the branch went on to say that they can close any account at any time without any reason clearly alluding that we have the right to discriminate as and when we see fit - rules do not apply to us. After a few days of closing my accounts, Citizens Bank then went on to email me stating that my username/password has been compromised. After trying to deal with them over the phone while on XXXX XXXX, I was never able to figure out what happened until I reached home and learned that my accounts were unceremoniously closed. Over the last one month, I have tried to call the bank, reach out to the branch, but the bank has refused to assist me and reopen my accounts.
