Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding an unfortunate incident involving my Citibank account. On XX/XX/2023, I accepted what seemed to be a legitimate job offer from a company called Pharmscript Saga. I received a check for {$23000.00}, which I promptly deposited into my Citibank checking account. To my dismay, subsequent events unfolded in a manner that has left me in financial distress. Despite being assured by Citibank that the funds were secure, I discovered on XX/XX/2023, that a negative balance of - {$15000.00} had appeared in my checking account, as the initially cleared funds of {$18000.00} were unexpectedly denied. Multiple calls to Citibank seeking clarification did not yield a satisfactory resolution. The timeline attached outlines the events, including a wire transfer of {$16000.00} to an account associated with the scam. Additionally, a letter dated XX/XX/2023, from Citibank indicates that the check of {$23000.00} deposited on XX/XX/2023, is likely to be returned unpaid. This entire ordeal has caused me considerable distress and financial hardship. While I understand the complexities of fraud prevention, my experience with Citibank has been disheartening. I kindly request a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action to prevent similar incidents in the future. I appreciate your prompt attention to this issue and look forward to a resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I saw charges on my Wayfair credit card/account that were not made by me. I emailed XXXX XX/XX/23, no response. I heard back on XX/XX/23 that there was no balance on the account and account was in good standing with NO errors she said she even opened up a ticket with the finance dept. On XX/XX/23 they try to email me and say they over refunded me and I owe them money. The document attached will show I emailed over 6 times between XXXX asking if account was fine & they continued to look into it, state it was fine. Their error is THEIR error. I will not be paying the over-refunded money. They can pay it & close my credit card because the account IS PAID OFF. Also, resolutions management XXXX lies & states there is no communication found in regards to this matter. LENGTHY communication attached since XX/XX/23 showing no responses back from resolutions manager, stating my account is fine and no errors, etc. Their XXXX response to my complaint all 3 times is a copy and pasted response stating that I need to communicate with XXXX about the issue ( WHICH I DID FOR WEEKS ). XXXX are the ones that told me my account was fine multiple times. I specifically spoke with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX from that department. Their copy & pasted response on XXXX also state that this is about a product that has defects. They are not even opening & reading the complaint. I have tried since XXXX to get this resolved, MY portion is paid off, I want my account closed and I am not responsible for a charge that they put on my account for no services in return & was a mistake on their end.

Consumer Complaint: I used the Home Depot Credit card to make a purchase for my business in XXXX of 2023. In XXXX of 2023 my business tried to make a payment to this debt, and the check was sent back. My business Partner and I decided that I would make the payment from my own checking account and be reimbursed by the business. I made this payment in late XXXX after I was informed that the original payment was rejected. For some reason, This payment was applied to the wrong account. I called to fix this on XX/XX/XXXX and was assured that the {$200.00} payment that I made was applied to the write account. On XX/XX/XXXX I got another delinquent notice. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that the money was transferred but not applied to the amount due. While on the phone I was assured that the payment would be applied to the amount due and my next due date would be XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I got notified that a delinquent notice was put on my credit report. I called again and Home Depot said that it would take five days to get the payment applied to the amount due. I asked that the delinquent notice be removed from my credit report. After many calls, someone finally said that they had put in a request to have the delinquent notice removed from my credit report but that it would take 14 days. Right now my credit rating is XXXX points lower and I have to wait 14 days for it to change. This is frustration and I want people to know about this practice at Home Depot Credit Services

I've always been able to eventually access the account because of a method they informed me of when I complained, but the excessive security checks still continue. I have no problem with any other website except XXXX XXXX which is not letting me make transfers and makes me go through extra security checks other than signing in which didn't stop after I signed for two-step verification. I filed an ICE report with the FBI in XXXX concerning problems with Citibank.

Consumer Complaint: I was charged {$950.00} by XXXX for a transaction that I did not make on XX/XX/XXXX. Someone stole all my credit card information including my CVV. They also had my cell phone number and home address. I called Citi a few and they ruled in favor of the merchant saying they have compelling evidence that I made the transaction. I told Citi that my information was stolen and that the tickets were sent to an email that isn't mine. The tickets were sent to email address XXXX which is NOT my email address. The IP address was XXXX XXXX, Illinois. I live in XXXX, Illinois. I had 2 other fraudulent transactions that day and apparently I wasn't on the hook for those 2. The fraudulent transaction I am disputing had this same email address on one of the other fraudulent purchases. Not sure what more I can do. This is why i am contacting you. I did contact the XXXX, Illinois police department and my report number is XXXX. I contacted the FTC yesterday.

Consumer Complaint: Several times over the past month my credit card from Citi has been charged by a single merchant XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Each time the charge is for XXXX Each time this charge occurred I received a text asking me if I made this charge. Each time I replied no. Each time they require me to cancel my card and send me a new one. Each time this happens, it requires hours of work on my part to re-enter my credit card information into all the merchants that I'm using online. I have even gone so far as to create a number of virtual credit card accounts, so that I'm not putting my actual credit card number on line. One of these accounts was charged, not my actual credit card number. There were only three merchants attached to that virtual account number. I requested that I be able to turn off that one virtual number, rather than having to redo everything again. I have also asked Citi to block this one merchant, so I do not continue to have to do everything that I am having to do; however, this is to no avail. What I would like, is to completely cancel this particular credit card, have my yearly membership fee refunded (paid on XXXX and then reapply for a new card with the same company at which point, I would be glad to pay the fee again. I just don't want to pay it twice for something that seems to be simple to fix.

The company account was correct but the car dealership give me the incorrect company name. Then the funds never arrived and to this date XXXX has still not refunded the wire transfer. All this money somehow missing and XXXX is not taking responsibility. XXXX has stated that Citibank has these funds, per the attached proof that it was sent via Citibank. XXXX XXXX, the recipient bank, has stated the funds were returned to Citibank, per the attached email. My CFPB complaint that Citibank return the funds resulted in the attached. Citibank is not taking responsibility nor helping XXXX with the trace and recall of the transfer. No one is helping me and Citibank is holding these funds.
