Consumer Complaint: 4 years ago I was approved for Citibank MasterCard World Elite travel card and I've continually made on Time payments and have never missed a payment and have never been late on a payment and have always paid more than the payment amount. In XXXX of this year 2023, my mother who was diagnosed with XXXX got into almost fatal car accident which rendered her unable to care for herself so she had to come stay with me and I had to be out of work for 4 months so I was using my credit that I had worked so hard for to get us by. I used a good portion of my credit over these XXXX months and then after paying almost {$11000.00} on this Citibank card to pay down the balance they decreased my credit limit not once but twice. They decreased it all the way down to what was left on this credit card after I paid the {$11000.00} on it, they decreased it all the way down to what I still had to pay off which made it look like I've maxed this card out again with the personal credit companies which affects my credit score which affects everything else.that I've worked so hard on paying off. They have done.this to a lot of other accounts holders and it's really bad business and almost a lie. My credit limit started out at XXXX and then they raised it to XXXX and then they decreased it to XXXX and then they decreased it all the way down to XXXX XXXX with no warning and after I've paid {$11000.00} on this card. Their business practice are affecting my credit score my other lenders and my interest rate and daily living on other things. I have never missed a payment, I've never made a late payment, and I've always paid more than they've billed me. I just think this is really dirty business practice and they are using their corporate power to hurt the consumer. I have paid over {$35000.00} to pay my credit cards off in the last 45 days with {$11000.00} going to this Citibank card. They would have been better off closing this account and allowing me time to pay it other than just making it look like I'm maxing out this credit limit on this card when they've lowered it by {$11000.00} in 2 months and only after I paid {$11000.00} on this card. I really would understand if I was a bad customer or if I was late on my payment or if I missed a payment but in 4 years I've never missed or been late on a payment. I just don't understand how they're allowed to do this and they are really affecting my daily life using my credit for the better good of me and my family.ive worked really hard on myself and my finances over the last 10 years and this unfair practice by Citibank is really affecting me and my credit score, among other things. It goes way past them lowering a credit limit. It's a domino effect and it's a lie.

Consumer Complaint: I called Citibank on XX/XX/2023 to close my certificate of deposit account and ask for the check to be mailed to the address on file. This was after the certificate of deposit matured and during the grace period where there would be no penalty fees for closing the XXXX. The check did not arrive after XXXX business days, so I called again and asked them to reissue the check. The check still did not arrive by XX/XX/2023, so I called and asked them to reissue the check to a different address. They said they had everything taken care of and the check should arrive at the new address in XXXX calendar days. I know the address was changed properly because I received an email showing the new address on file. However, as of XX/XX/2023, the check still has not arrived at the new address. I called on XX/XX/2023 to inquire about the status of the check and they said it has already been issued to the address on file, so I would need to visit a branch for more information. It is difficult for me to visit a branch because the nearest XXXX is very far away, and I let the customer service representative know about this, but they were unable to provide an alternative solution.

Consumer Complaint: Whenever I pay off the full balance of my Macy 's credit card bill ( ON TIME I may add ) they then charge me an extra fee of {$2.00}, meaning I get a bill a month later for {$2.00}. I have never had a single credit card company charge me an additional fee AFTER paying off the balance. This occurs when I pay the full total balance on the first bill received, or it may also occur when I've paid partial payments over a few months. ALWAYS there is this extra {$2.00} they add on AFTER I've paid my bill in full. On the bill, the {$2.00} is listed under the column titled " Purchases, Cas ADV, Fees & Other Debits ''. Is this legal?????? I feel they are just collecting extra money from everyone just for the financial benefit and not for any legitimate reason. Thank you,

Consumer Complaint: I reported my card missing/stolen in XXXX of this year. They allowed other charges to placed on the credit card even though already reported. I should have a credit of {$5.00}. However, they are still charging late payments and finance charges on items that should not be on my card. The last payment I made, I noticed after paying a charge of {$5.00} after paying the bill. I immediately contacted Citi 's Fraud Department and reported the non-purchase charges. I even called back after contacting the largest of these charges which was a subscription charge I did not ask for. They immediately canceled these charges and gave me a cancellation number. I called back and spoke with a XXXX and he stated that he notated the account of these two credits. XXXX also stated don't worry about the late fees and charges that they will be removed from my account. I contacted Citi today XX/XX/2023 at the Citi Fraud phone number and it states closed even though its the middle of their operating hours. I called customer service and they advised me to pay the bill and I would be credited for the {$100.00} plus charges. I don't really trust that they will do this even if I paid what I don't owe. At this point, I should have a {$5.00} credit and their trying to charge me {$110.00} for charges that I didn't make. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I noticed while looking at my Costco Anywhere Citicard rewards that it had acknowledged and accepted the charges at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, but was only giving me a 1 % reward for those purchases. When I contacted them, first I was forced to use a bot to try and elicit information, to no avail. Then I was able to live chat with a representative, named XXXX ( according to the system ), who proceeded to tell me that all grocery store gas stations are exempt from this. I then proceeded to ask why this wasn't made clear or available to customers, without knowing they needed to ask for the additional detail regarding the 4 % vs 1 % on gas purchases. According to both Citi and Costco 's website 's they state the offer is : " 4 % Cash back on eligible gas and electric vehicle ( EV ) charging purchases worldwide, including gas and EV charging at Costco for the first {$7000.00} per year, and then 1 % thereafter. '' They do not provide the details up front of what is considered eligible. It took specifically asking, after noticing I hadn't received my rewards properly, to get the full details, including a pre-meditated list of gas stations that wouldn't be eligible for the " 4 % cashback '' I believe that this is not only false advertising, but also an anti-competitive strategy agreed upon by both Citi and Costco. Consumer Complaint: I, the consumer and natural person, applied for a line of credit on XX/XX/XXXX. I was wrongfully denied credit by Citibank N.A. when I applied for Costco Credit Card. I, ( lowercase name ) Agent here on behalf of ( upper case name ) Principal hereby accept all titles, rights, credit, interest and equity owed to the ( uppercase name ) Principal. Regardless of the reason for denial, I have the RIGHT to credit. 15 USC 1691 ( D ) ( E ) Withholding my access to my securities is securities FRAUD. Federal Reserve Act section 16 ( 1 ) & ( 2 ) I have recorded multiple Citibank supervisors & managers from the consumer credit department admitting to violating the Equal Credit Opportunity Act by way of Discrimination. Without Equality there is Discrimination! Meaning a person with a XXXX credit score shall be given equal opportunity to credit as another person with a XXXX credit score. Citi bank is in violation of Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Consumer Credit Protection Act. Since you are denying me access to my credit. Other Violations Adverse Action against a consumer is AGAINST THE LAW according to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act which is codified in 15 U.S.C. 1691c and is pursuant to civil liability under 15 U.S.C. 1692k. You are subject to criminal liability for violating 15 U.S.C. 1691 as I have proof that I was discriminated against by Citibank due to the response I received. Citibank is in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1642, U.S.C. 1681m and 12 CFR 1002 because I, the consumer made an application in good faith, but credit was not issued. Furthermore, because my social security number ( credit card ) was used on an application, turning it into SECURED COLLATERAL which is PREPAYMENT of credit and I received NO benefit. This is proof of fraudulent activity ( unauthorized use of credit card ) on behalf of Citibank N.A. Which is also SECURITIES FRAUD I am demanding Citibank release my collateral security for Best Buy & Costco cards in the amount of {$15000.00} each! And mail out my credit cards to me within 7 business days. Also provide Costco the approval code for my immediate use. If Citibank fails to make any reasonable procedures to resolve this matter within 5 days of receiving this letter and approve me for the use of my credit card I will indeed make Citigroup N.A. criminally and civilly liable for ALL actual damages pursue it to 15 USC 1681n and 15 USC 1681o. Including REVOKING ALL SECURITY INTEREST FROM CITIBANK N.A.

Consumer Complaint: I had an automated call, informing me that my credit limit was reduced. There was no way to reach a live person from that call and I was required to call back to a different number to reach a person. I had to speak to a supervisor before I was directed to a different department. The customer service person told me that they could not lower my interest rate but that someone in hardship could. When I spoke with someone in hardship, they said that they didnt do that sort of thing and that I needed to speak to someone in customer service. I explained to them that while Im trying to pay my credit card each time I make a payment that reduces my debt to them they reduce my credit limit which reduces my credit score again. Ive asked for consolidation loans and other options short of closing the accounts and each of my credit card companies Just says theres nothing they can do.

Even set up direct deposit I had over {$2000.00} in my account now Im down to {$300.00} after I receive the direct deposit from my work And their direct deposit went through. My account was closed without my authorization or knowledge and was told that I had to wait XXXX to XXXX business days to receive my funds now every time that I tried to contact them to transfer my phones into a new account or get an update. I am either hung up on Transferred ignored and lied to Since this occurrence, I am not able to open up in a bank account with any other bank because of this I have no money to eat provide my father with rent because of this I have no money for gas to get to work because of this Also, I am not able to log onto my account via app desktop because I dont have my account number. I was never given checks I am unable to see my account number only the last four numbers from it
