Consumer Complaint: I have just learned that my identity was breached and data was hacked through XXXX 's website. I have had ongoing issues with IDme.gov sending me pings at various times when I personally am not on their website or using any services online. This was the first sign that something was wrong then I kept getting my XXXX card declined because of Fraud again and spent over XXXX hours on the phone with them paying extra fees to have new cards expedited to me so I could pay bills. I also noticed on my credit report that my data was distributed on the dark web. I am currently in school and will be graduating soon and am also in the market to buy a house for me and my XXXX daughters. I am a single parent who is struggling financially and can not believe I have this many issues with credit cards, that I also had to call and have charges removed multiple times ( XXXX hours ), that is to CITI and XXXX XXXX over the past year. I am severely affected by all of this and sometimes feel XXXX and XXXX due to the amount of harassment from the credit card companies with no resolve. I chose to walk away and file with a debt management company out of desperation. I don't know where I went wrong until I found out about my data/identity theft yesterdayXX/XX/23on the XXXX website now it all makes sense. And why did nobody tell me earlier this is disappointing and scary! If my data is already being used elsewhere my business is also at risk. I am a business owner and recently signed up on the XXXX and XXXX website that also reported suspicious activity that was unknown but a large amount of unknown information? Where do I get resolve I am only one person work full-time and attend school online ( bachelors ) and am worried my student loans may have been impacted too. I don't know where to start or to end because I have had multiple inquiries on my credit report recently I wouldn't know where to start. This data breach is ruining my chances of ever owning a home or making large life purchases and its not only one card or one loan its multiple accounts please help.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I made a mobile deposit to my checking account.Citibank said they would hold the check a week or so until the check cleared.On XX/XX/XXXX the deposit cleared. The funds were not made available to me and access to my account was blocked and account frozen.I called citibank and they said they need to verify my identity via a letter through usps. The letter was to contain a reference # for verification.The letter never came.I have called and called. They have sent numerous other letters including two new debit cards, however, the letter with the code has not came. They say they sent a second letter but it naver came either.Today is XX/XX/2023, and I still do not have access to my paycheck and Citibank has no solution.They say without this letter, they can do nothing. They have stolen my money and I have no way of getting it back. Citibank says the reason for all this is because I opened an account online.When I opened the account I provided all the necessary information required by citibank including my social security number. Citibank failed to mention that there would be further verification before I could use the account.After all, they had no problem taking my deposit, didnt need verification to take my money.Please help me with a solution. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023. I XXXX XXXX and account holder at Citi Bank purchased an official bank check. The check was in the amount of XXXX dollars made of too XXXX XXXX, my landlord. Short story, check was stolen in the mail and was cashed somehow. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed that the check had not arrived. I immediately went to the branch to report it and I was told that I must wait some time to see if it arrives in the mail. I returned to the Bank Branch on XX/XX/XXXX now I was told that the check was cashed. I made a verbal complaint to the manager that my payee did not cash the check. I was again told that i have to wait to see where the check was cashed. Finally on XX/XX/XXXX an affidavit was filled. But i still have yet to have anyone reach out or any confirmation of this investigation. My funds are supposed to be guarantee with the purchase of a bank check.

Consumer Complaint: As I asked Citi credit card company why they closed my account they informed me that it was because one of my automatic payment got declined. I tried to explain to them that because of a fraudulent transection on my account my Citi checking account was placed on hold. As a result, automatic payment got declined. I further told them that that was the first time ever happened to my account and I have never missed any payment not even I was late to any payment. After all the explanation they did not change their decision, which eventually impacted my credit score to significantly go down. Even though, Citi bank let me open a new checking account, unfortunately cit credit card still did not change their decision. I believe, with all those excellent payment history it was completely unjust to close down my account just for one declined payment, which was not even voluntary. As the Citi credit company new that it was because my Citi checking was placed on hold for a fraudulent transection. for this reason I want my account back asap. thank you.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX based on the Citi Bank new checking online promotion for a future bonus payment of {$1000.00}, I followed the application and promotion instructions as required by Citi Bank. I proceeded the application process with several phone calls to Citi Banks Customer Service group to verify the promotional offer and requirements. Upon completing the application, I received an approval with no mention of the promotional bonus offer. When I called to inquire about the missing offer confirmation, I was told that the account would not include the promotion bonus. This " bait and switch '' tactic to attract new deposits by Citi Bank is deceptive, unacceptable and unethical!
