I received an automatice response stating that I will be contacted in 5 business days. if I have othe questions, call ( XXXX ) XXXX. I waited for a call from Capital One. When no one contacted me I called the ( XXXX ) XXXX. It is a general nubmer for Capital One. I was told that the only think they could do was send an email to XXXX. Consumer Complaint: Multiple accounts were opened in my name without my knowledge. I am writing to dispute the accuracy of information contained in my credit report with regards to the accounts of Capital One and XXXX XXXX. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I am informing you that these accounts have violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 U.S.C 1681. The sections mentioned in my letter clearly state that I have the right to privacy and that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions. Furthermore, the FCRA states that no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any adverse information that antedates the report by more than seven years ( 15 U.S.C 1681c. ( a ) ( 5 ) ). Additionally, it is stated that a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate ( 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) ). Consumer Complaint: I was in the process of filing a small claims case against merchant. The FTC website explained a charge-back dispute option which opens an investigation of merchant resulting in obtaining a rebuttal of dispute. A temporary credit was posted on my account and I began using it to continue my project which merchant delayed when they breached our contract. I faxed all requested documentation and I was assured investigation was under way. Within days of credit being applied to my account, it disappeared off my account and was reposted as a purchase on account. My credit scored tanked, my minumium payment went from {$89.00} to {$600.00}. My credit limit is {$5500.00}, my current balance is over {$8000.00} and swelled to over {$12000.00}. How is this possible? My credit usage went from 52 % to now 191 %. And this is literally in one statement period. Its debt creation, illegal and I'm now in financial ruin. I'm unable topay my minumium payment, late fees are accumulating, interest and now, no investigation I was expecting a rebuttal from was conducted and the bank claim of contacting the merchant was false. The time limit to dispute this charge has past. Why was the dispute even filed then? I'm XXXX, on strict budget and need help! Please and thank you..

Consumer Complaint: I complained about a few charges not being correct on my credit card to the credit card company. They fixed one of them the other two they were working on but all the sudden they put my credit card ito {$0.00}. I've never used my credit card down that low before. Capital One put on there the {$0.00}. I've asked him multiple times to correct it they keep dragging their feet and now I'm paying for it because it shows that I am 70 % of my credit rating because I haven't paid my credit card off because they're not giving me the right numbers due to the investigations going on. It's been about a month and they still have not corrected the amount on my card. I've asked multiple supervisors to fix this I've called multiple times it seems like they're dragging their feet they don't want to correct it so I'm paying with for it showing that I have bad credit on my credit report because I'm full on that card which is not true. Every month I've paid that credit card in full up until now they're the reason why I'm not paying it off because I don't know where I'm at. It's not fair for them to report to the credit bureau that I'm XXXX 70 % up on my credit card I wouldn't be there if they'd give me the proper denomination of where I'm at on my balance. It almost feels like they're stealing money from me. I would like this corrected immediately I can't keep making phone calls I'm getting stressed out I'm a XXXX vet. They're treating a XXXX vet like I'm a homeless guy. Please have somebody fix this.

Consumer Complaint: To to Whom it may concern, I had a capital one spark business account opened since XXXX. I have never been late or defaulted. After a recent payment of paying the balance in full I noticed this card was closed with no notification!! I went to make a purchase on my card and noticed it was a restriction on the card and that I could not use it. After I called capital one centers and was told by the representative/ manager ( XXXX ID # XXXX ) that the card was closed because capital one said that I fail to verify myself with my TDL and SSN. Customer service agent said a letter and email was sent to me in XXXX of XXXX that I never received! I did verify my email and mailing address that was on file and it was correct but I don't understand why I didn't receive email nor letter. I pride myself on this account never being late or bad pay history. I am very upset and this is very hurtful from a credit prescriptive because my score that I worked hard for fell more than 70 points.

Consumer Complaint: I received notification on XX/XX/XXXX that there was an inquiry to my credit today. I received this information through the alerts I have set on XXXX XXXX, Capital One, and XXXX. I presumed it was for an automatic credit line increase, thus I ignored it for the time being. However, I missed a call from an 800 number. The voicemail left stated they were calling from the Capital One application fraud department, and needed to speak to me. I called Capital One directly, and they didn't show an application in my name. However, I did call that number that called me back, and they had the same voice prompts and hold music. I did not give any personal information to this person, just in case. They had all of my information which they stated was used to apply for this card, which was done online on XX/XX/XXXX. They have cancelled the application. I have since frozen my credit with all 3 bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: My capital one account was restricted as of XX/XX/XXXX. After being on the phone with capital one on XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed my credit card account was closed because they would not accept my payments from certain reputable and popular bank accounts, and was giving the reason of insufficient funds. They would only accept it from two specific accounts. I have tried to put over {$500.00} on my account to meet payments, after making payment on the app it registers as going through only for it to return a few days later. I did not receive an email, no notification in the app, not even a letter mail stating my account would be closed. They told me that my account was closed over a week ago and mail was sent out, to which I did not receive. Now they are saying I owe the money that Ive been trying to pay off, while already closing my account and telling me theres nothing that they can do, and wont even help me.
