Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed a charge of {$830.00} was made through XXXX using my Capital One card. XXXX had processed this charge as Friends & Family to a XXXX. Capital One listed this charge as a professional service. I immediately ( on XX/XX/XXXX. ) contacted Capital One and disputed the charge and also requested a new card. I contacted XXXX and tried to dispute this charge, however I was told friends & family charges were not covered by XXXX. They advised me to contact the person who charged my card. This person ( XXXX ), has blocked me on XXXX and I am unable to contact him. XXXX advised me to contact Capital One. I did so on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. Each time I spoke with an agent in the fraud department. I filled out all paperwork Capital One asked me to. I asked Capital One to contact the person who charged my card and ask them to also provide evidence of purchase/service/etc. I informed Capital One that I believe either my XXXX, my email or my XXXX had been hacked. Capital One never contacted XXXX. They never asked this person to provide evidence. They only contacted XXXX. I have pages of documentation of calls, letters of updates, charges reversed and then reapplied. As of today XX/XX/2023, I was informed by XXXX at Capital One that they would not investigate further and that they would hold me responsible for these fraudulent charges.

Consumer Complaint: I have continually sent the CEO, of Capital One Bank requests for help with closing my MasterCard account and obtaining assistance with paying off my balance, unfortunately no help has been received. Please understand that with my wife losing her second job due to covid and us being forced to move during covid and our rent going from {$1200.00} to {$2500.00} per month we are both struggling financially. It does not help when youre struggling to pay all of your credit card debt, housing expenses and medical bills because of the diagnosis and testing for XXXX XXXX XXXX. It also does not help when I feel that your credit card issuer because of sheer greed acts worse than a local bookie continually charging and changing interest rates that make it impossible to pay or bring down the balance. I feel like Capital One continues to act in bad faith and take advantage of me. No one struggling to survive and having great difficulty doing so should be forced or subjected to such criminal activity and behavior by a bank. I am truly sorry that I ever decided to business with them and at this rate, with the amount Im being charged for interest and my inability to pay it, Im one step closer to filing for bankruptcy protection. The sad part is that I cant even afford the attorney.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One credit card close my account after a period of inactivity, said that they sent a letter warning me before closing the account in XX/XX/XXXX, and then closed the account in XX/XX/XXXX, but never got that warning letter. They closed my account and said all my reward dollars are now lost, {$5700.00}. Called 4 time : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, then XX/XX/XXXX. Wrote letter XX/XX/XXXX to Capital One credit card company appealing closing my account without warning, and pay the rewards, which I got a response letter to call them to try to resolve the issue. Capital One company turned down my appeals.

Consumer Complaint: Re : Case XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased tickets for admission the same night of XX/XX/XXXX to the event XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. Upon arrival at the venue we were denied admittance because the event had been canceled due to a XXXX incident. The same night I contacted XXXX at XXXX to notify them about the issue. They had the fair organizer contacting me via email on XX/XX/XXXX offering me admittance another night ( email communication attached ). This was not acceptable to me as I was leaving town in the morning. After requesting a refund from XXXX they denied it on XX/XX/XXXX because according to them the event in question does not appear to be canceled. After I made this request for a credit refund they did not respond. As proof of the actual cancellation of the event, I am attaching two newspaper articles from XXXX XXXX and the XXXX XXXX describing the events that lead to the cancellation of the fair on XX/XX/XXXX. Both articles are available online. Since the event was canceled and I was denied a refund by the merchant. I contacted Capital One a few days later in order to file a dispute. Since that time, I have contacted Capital One on multiple occasions trying to solve this problem. On XX/XX/XXXX, after contacting Capital One over the phone regarding their response letter dated XX/XX/XXXX I was informed that the case was being escalated and that it would be reopened. In a couple of phone calls after that, I was reassured over the phone that the case was being reopened. It seems that nobody worked on this for three months. On my last phone call on XX/XX/XXXX I was instructed for the second time ( I did this before ) to write a letter stating my claim with very specific wording. I wrote the letter stating exactly what I was told to write only to receive a letter stating that my response lacks the " previously requested information ''. The facts are that I was charged {$33.00} by the merchant for a service that I never received. I have wasted more than three months pursuing this claim where it is extremely clear that it is a valid claim and that I have submitted proof that the event was cancelled that night. The fact that from XX/XX/XXXX until my phone call on XX/XX/XXXX nothing was done, even though I was told that somebody would get back to me is appalling.

Consumer Complaint: I linked an external account to capital one saving account on XXXX and initiated a pull of {$100000.00} money from the external account ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to capital one. Then the fund was put on hold and I was asked by Capital one to do a XXXX way phone call with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX on XXXX. During the process the capital one specialist was in a rush to conclude that my account can not be verified resulted in my capital one account being restricted while the fund was still transferring into capital one. The XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account I linked with is a brokerage account where the account number capital one want to verify is associated with that brokerage account. But the capital one specialist conclude in rush that the XXXX XXXX XXXX brokerage account can not be verified because the account name is not the account number and terminated banking relationship without me explain further. What is even worse is capital one still process the transfer and I can see the money being withdraw from my XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account even capital one said they terminated my account.
