Consumer Complaint: Capital One has twice changed the autopay from XXXX XXXX to a Capital One account where I didn't have enough $ in there to pay. I did have enough $ in their savings account but they picked checking. It was their own account and they bounced the payment, not even taking the minimum payment. I don't know why they keep changing the Auto Pay bank. On Sunday XX/XX/XXXX they texted me and said that the autopay went through on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX they texted me and said that XXXX put {$25.00} on the card. On XX/XX/XXXX they texted that I had a balance of {$530.00} which I knew something was wrong because I pay them in full so the balance should have been {$25.00}. I went and looked at the account and saw that they bounced the autopay because they once again switched the autopay bank. I immediately paid them from the correct bank and asked for the {$25.00} fee to be waived. They said they would waive it. On XX/XX/XXXX, I looked at the account and the {$25.00} fee was still there and then they added an interest fee. I called them back and told them they switched the auto pay bank and that I wanted the interest fee waived. They refused. I then paid them the interest and the XXXX and the {$25.00} fee and asked for the card to be cancelled. I didn't switch the autopay and if they would have texted me that it didn't go through timely, I would have paid it and had it straightened out. Also they could have chosen to use the {$1000.00} sitting in their bank to pay the bill in my savings account. I have since cancelled my bank account and my credit card account with them, but I do want my interest charges back because I did not change the autopay bank. Their system has done this to me twice now.

Consumer Complaint: Kohls credit card The protected balance variable interest rate increases each time there is an increase in purchase variable interest rate. I have two balances on my credit card statements from Kohls one is the purchase balance that one is subject to variable interest rate changes. The other balance is a protected balance that should not be subject to variable interest rate increases. The issue I am experiencing is that each time my purchase variable interest rate increases the exact amount of increase also happens to my protected, balance, variable interest rate. I only have access to my XXXX statements and have provided the information below, and also followed up with an email with pictures of the statements. But this issue has been happening since I received a protected balance, variable interest rate, and it has been increasing each time I purchase APR increases. Ive been trying to get help over the phone about this problem they will not help me over the phone. They said I need to mail a letter or pay off the balance to stop the increase of rate on the protected balance. Consumer Complaint: As a responsible consumer, I have always kept a close eye on my credit reports and scores. Recently, however, I was shocked to discover an account from Capital One on my credit report that I have no knowledge of and never opened. Despite repeated attempts to dispute this account with XXXX Bureau and the FTC WEBSITE, but still, it has remained on my credit report, causing significant damage to my credit score. I have taken all the necessary steps to prove my innocence, including attaching my ID/Driver 's license, partial credit report, and FTC Identity Theft Report, ( In my attached FTC report XXXX you can observe that I have mentioned filing a dispute several times with Capital One in my personal statement. ) and even a police report to support my claim. I am confident that with your help, we can correct this error and remove this account from my credit report.

I reached out to Capital One to notify them of this account is fraudulent and I did not open it or give anyone authorization to use my information. They claimed to conduct and investigation but did not provide me with the validation and the verification I requested. They also did not give me their method of investigation ; who did they talk to, their names, and was they present during this transaction which is my rights. They failed to provide this information and continue to report this fraudulent account to my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: My account was closed on all of a sudden, I got a email from them in XXXX I changed my direct deposit for my job to another bank account in advance but the check still went thru on that capital one account, I have another reversed payment in that account its XXXX even if Im not supposed to have the other XXXX, I got paid XXXX thats my check and they cant keep it, its been few weeks only 2-3 cases of the 10 cases has been resolved, I had submitted mutilple disputes and they closed and said I was abusing company policy, I called them and they didnt even give me the check money from my job so all the money is just sitting there, simply put I dont want all the money just my check money because thats not suspicious it was a creditable deposit

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I applied and was approved for a capital one quicksilver secured credit card. Also on XX/XX/23 an amount of {$500.00} was taken from out of my checking account as a deposit towards my secured credit card. I Received a email on XX/XX/23 saying my new secured credit card was shipped. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX I received 2 envelopes one with my new quick silver secured credit card and another envelope from capital one stating " Dear XXXX XXXX XXXX we are closing this account because we have observed activity on your account that is not consistent with our expectation of usage for personal, family or household purposes. Please stop using this account immediately and destroy any cards and checks associated with it. '' A year or two ago I previously had an account with capital one with a balanced that was paid in full but it was closed with not explanation. So I was a little taken back after the fact that not only I put in my personal information but I received a approval email and I gave capital one {$500.00} just for them to send me a card in the mail and then closed my account. I spoke with a capital one fraud prevention representative named XXXX on XX/XX/23 and asked him is this a recorded line and he replied yes and I asked him how is my deposit is going to be sent back to me and how long it takes. XXXX responded and said capital will send me a check after 2 billing cycle which means 2 months and XXXX also explain to me he can't give me any further information why my account was so suddenly closed so he transfer me to his supervisor which her name is XXXX and I explained to XXXX my situation but there was nothing she could do as well. Not only that I am being inconvenienced because capital one didn't do their due diligence and deny me once they received my social security but now I have to push bills that I was planning on using the card with back but I also have to wait almost 3 to 4 months for me to even get my money back into my account without any receipt saying if my refund is on the way and no explanation on why my account was closed and I can't no longer use my new card.

After earned $ XXXX in my account, I tried to redeem a gift card, but they closed my account without any reasons and didn't give me a XXXX back... They didn't respond to my email at all. I contacted Captial One customer service by phone and sent an email to XXXX, but they couldn't help. Also, filed a XXXX complaint, but no help as well. This is the last time in good faith trying to solve problem with them directly, and will take it to small claim if no result after this.
