Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Can't use card to make purchases
Consumer Complaint: Subject : Capital One Bank, credit card and personalchecking : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Capital checking XXXX. Abusive conduct and Unfair practices are the issue. The subject bank cards and account issues are the result of several negative experiences which began in XX/XX/2023. I began my bank relationship with Capital One over 3 years ago, as a credit card customer. During this entire period I never missed a due date and mostly paid off 70 % of the monthly balances. Beginning this year I began a new business venture at XXXX XXXX, and then the problems began. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I was attending business license courses at XXXX XXXX, and having lived at this location over a month, I used both cards extensively. The cards are linked to another savings account for payment. I found that the cards reached credit limit and my payment source was going to be delinquent, because of SSN payment tardiness. In order to meet my financial requirements, I had a business partner, wire a payment to Capone card XXXX, the weekend of XX/XX/XXXX. CapOne held the payment for 8-10 days, without credit and without access to the money sent. The payment was for 90 % of the balance on this card. In addition my payments for the courses, car rentals and rooms were declined repeatedly, though there was available credit for the courses at the very least. The result was a failed business trip and they gave me a negative credit report. CapOne later apologized for the treatment to my surprise. The second abusive conduct and unfair practices began on XX/XX/2023. Again I am traveling on business, I am running out of available credit, in anticipation of a problem and in anticipation of an automatic wire deposit, I authorized a {$250.00} payment on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, {$100.00} payment, and {$500.00} payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I made a big error in authorizing payments because of a wire transfer error. To complicate things, the auto SSN payment from another account, was agin delayed without my knowledge on XX/XX/2023. To reconcile with Capital One I immediately open. Personal checking account with a wire transfer of funds to cover the credit card balances. The amount transferred was {$3300.00}, more than enough to cover the previous amounts authorized. In addition, I authorized on XX/XX/XXXX, a XXXX credit card payment and on XX/XX/XXXX, another XXXX payment. To date, the credit card amount due is incorrect. See screen shot attachment. Also, again Capital One, withheld access to the wire transferred funds without explanation, though they paid themselves on XX/XX/XXXX. I was not given access to the personal checking account until XX/XX/2023. Again they gave me a negative credit report and canceled each card. To date the cards have Never been delinquent. And now my credit rating is below XXXX because of their

Consumer Complaint: I processed a balance transfer from my XXXX credit card to pay off my XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card. I was charged the funds to my XXXX account but was not credited to my XXXX XXXX card. I contacted XXXX and verified that the information for the balance transfer was input correctly on their end and with the processor ( XXXX ) after some research, it appears that both XXXX XXXX XXXX and Capital One have XXXX XXXX es that start with the number XXXX and they are both in the XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA. When I requested a copy of the cashed balance transfer check from XXXX, it showed it was cashed by Capital One. It showed received on XX/XX/2023 and posted XX/XX/2023. I was told that there have been reports from other XXXX members stating that Capital One is receiving and cashing balance transfer checks for other members who do not have accounts with them, rather than returning the funds. I am now left paying at both institutions instead of saving money with the 0 % balance transfer promotion that I was trying to use. As a result of this, I was also charged a {$29.00} late fee from XXXX XXXX XXXX because the payment didnt get there when it was supposed to. I am beyond frustrated and need the situation sorted and interest reimbursed.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased tickets through XXXX XXXX. The original charge was for {$1200.00}. After the initial charge, XXXX charged my account for each ticket individually causing my account to go negative because the charges were done twice. Upon contacting CapitalOne I was told that there was nothing they could do to help me because some companies do that to protect their transactions. They told me I would have to wait until the pending transaction dropped off on its own. XXXX essentially double dipped and overdrew my account but MY bank can not do anything to protect my interest?
