Consumer Complaint: I had a savings account with Capital One Bank that had a balance of {$6.00} on XX/XX/2023. Apparently, Capital One deemed the account dormant on that date. Capital One sent a notification of the dormant status on or after that date. Subsequent to that date, Capital One also sent me the attached bank statement showing that the {$6.00} balance had been debited from my account. Both the notification and the bank statement were mailed to my current address. When I called Capital One to find out how I could close the account and retrieve the {$6.00} balance, I was told that the {$6.00} balance had been turned over to a state unclaimed property department. I was told to check XXXX. I did so, but my name was not associated with any unclaimed property for either state in which I have ever lived : Wisconsin and Florida. I repeat : THE UNCLAIMED PROPERTY DEPARTMENTS OF THE 2 STATES IN WHICH I HAVE EVER LIVED -- WISCONSIN AND FLORIDA -- DO NOT LIST ME ON THEIR LISTS OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY. So, Capital One has simply stolen my {$6.00} and refuses to return it. They obviously had my current address, because they used it to send me a notification that my bank account had become dormant and to send me the bank statement showing that my account had been closed and the {$6.00} balance had been taken all within the same month : XXXXXXXX XXXX. I seek your help in getting a refund of the {$6.00} that Capital One stole from my account.

Consumer Complaint: The debt collectors who put unauthorized inquiries on my credit reports. The creditor of these inquiries did used misconduct and fraud while invading my privacy because I did not give them permission to pull my credit, nor did I give them permission to allow others to pull my credit at the same time. I did not give them written nor any permission AT ALL. The FCRA states it is against the law to report anything on my credit report that I did not authorize or want to be or should be not there!! I reached out through dispute XX/XX/XXXX on 4 inquiries with XXXX that were not authorized, nor had my signature or anything to pull my credit and the investigation came back in one day from XXXX stating that this remains the same. How dare they come back in a day without any investigation with no change or deletion. Their bad tactics and incompetence behavior to help the customer is appalling. This was not authorized none of the inquires I disputed on all credit reports. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY OF THESE INQUIRIES,

Consumer Complaint: Capital One does not show any details on balance transfer promotions on the monthly statement. I have never seen this on any other credit card company. The norm is, date started, the balance, the amount of interest deferred, and the due by date for when promotion ends as to not be charged the deferred interest amount. Capital one only provides balance with no end of promotion pay by date. When I called, they said they would note my complaint. When I asked for what the payoff amount would be for each promotion, they would not give me an amount, they could only give me the amount from last statement. I told them I have paid {$2600.00} since last statement so that cant be the correct amount. They eventually hung up on me.
