Consumer Complaint: My brother XXXX XXXX asked me if he can mobile deposit his check for him and I mobile deposit back in XXXX last year the back made the money available but when I wanted to withdraw the next day they told me my account was frozen and they doing investigation. I did not know they dont accept 3 rd party checks. So they told us that both of us need to go into to a capital one branch and verify ID and they would unfreeze my account. We went into to the bank cafe but they would not accept my ID because my work permit expired I was still waiting for it to come in the mail I showed them the paperwork but there system was not accept it .we were advised as soon as my I d come in to call them and they can send me a link to XXXX XXXX. I did that and they keep saying they will unfreeze account we wait and months go by we call and they keep saying they still investigating. I dont know what the problem is they already call the check issuer and verified .we keep calling they say they keep saying its still under investigation finally they say we need to go again to the cap One branch and show both ID get verified so on XX/XX/XXXX both of us went to the bank again verified our ID sighed the 3rd party check XXXX and XXXX form everything was done verified and they said my account should be active by next day ..one week go by .today I call they say they are still investigating whaaaat is going on I dont understand what else they need from us to unfreeze my money its been over 6 months i fell behind on mortgage and other payments this has cause a lot of issues financially can you please find out what is really happening I need my money been over 6 months my account frozen even after we went there submitted our IDS signed the paperwork I called them today XX/XX/2023 to get a update on whats going on. The lady on phone said she gon na investigate and call back with 3 hours .I got no call back from them I called her back and capital One had the nerve to say that the dont have the I D on file now tell me how unfair this is when we drove 3 hours to the Capital one Cafe in XXXX the ambassador took pictures of both IDs from his Tablet and had us sign the 3rd party check form confirmed to us that account would be activated unfrozen within few hours I even sent them all information via email last week. Is this really possible or are they trying to put me thru XXXX and have a nervous breakdown my bills are all behind including rent and my electronic bill its been absolute XXXX the past 6 months and because ofcapital ones negligence in not handling this situation in a timely manner making me feel like they didnt care at all they making no effort to resolve this situation I had to complain before I go XXXX dealing with this situation which was not even Fraud or anything that would require this much time since XX/XX/XXXX last year when I made the deposit .I need help I cant continue to carry this on any longer I would really appreciate if your company can help me out

Consumer Complaint: Per my credit card reward plan, I am eligible to receive XXXX annual anniversary points ( equal to {$100.00} ). Per my discussion with customer representative at Capitalone, they agree I am eligible for XXXX points and I have received it in XX/XX/2023. However, I don't have any way to check whether I received it or not. So, I ask capitalone I can't trust on verbal confirmation based on my past experience with capitalone. I need evidence in writing either email or statement or any written confirmation that I have received it. Otherwise I won't be able to confirm whether I received those points or not. However, customer support representative and supervisor told me they can not provide any written evidence. So, basically I have to trust whatever they are telling me verbally on phone, which I can't based on history with capitalone. Even Capitalone statement for the month ( XX/XX/2023 ) doesn't so any information instead say due error no reward information is available for that month. This immediately resulted in an {$8.00} fee being charged the same day, plus an interest charge of {$4.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. However, there was a new interest charge of {$5.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I believe this charge of {$5.00} was mistaken and I would like to request a refund. CAPITAL ONE did not give me the disclosure to opt out of credit reporting which is optional for myself the consumer. CAPITAL ONE is reporting and communicating false debt that I do not owe to third party agencies. I have demanded that CAPITAL ONE cease reporting my private information immediately. I also demanded that CAPITAL ONE give documentary evidence of the alleged loan that CAPITAL ONE says they gave me. This demand includes all documents, papers, correspondence, books of accounts, and financial and corporate records from CAPITAL ONE. CAPITAL ONE refuses to give me the consumer how they gave me an alleged loan. CAPITAL ONE 'S actions are causing me significant harm and damages and financial hardship. Those checks I got from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX due after XXXX of a Certificate of Error on my property. It is my XXXX XXXX for tax year XXXX, XXXX, XXXX which on i was applying at www.cookcountytreasurer.com on beginning of this year and got approved. Check are amounts XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX for XXXX XXXX. After that bank restricted my account. I was contacting bank by the phone to verify my identity and deposits that i made. After our conversation bank says that he ( bank ) can not verify those checks and decided to close my account! I was in shock! Official checks from the XXXX XXXX XXXX and they can not verify them after even i gave them all information and evidence of my property and persona! I've been told that i will got my funds back in XXXX business days, but after more than XXXX month Im still waiting for my check from the bank ( checks were deposited successfully ). Please, help me to return my money from this bank. I was trying to contact the bank after this but they block my number and redirected me to voicemail, but don't receive a call back never. Is it Legal to do so??

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 my {$180.00} monthly payment to my Capital One Quicksilver account, which was the full balance, was made prior to the cutoff hour of XXXX XXXX., but somehow the payment defaulted in the system to a previously Capital One closed checking account and the payment was returned on the same date. I was notified via email on XX/XX/23 @ approximately XXXX XXXX. I immediately made the full {$180.00} payment on XX/XX/23 and called customer service, explaining the issue and spoke with agent XXXX, who advised that the payment would still post as late, and I would have to wait until it posts to challenge any fees. The payment posted on XX/XX/23, and my account was charged a {$25.00} late fee, and {$9.00} in interest charges. I called customer service on XX/XX/23 and spoke with XXXX, who confirmed that he had the authority to waive the late fee and interest charges. On XX/XX/23 the {$9.00} interest charge showed as credited back to my account, but the {$25.00} late fee was not. I called on XX/XX/23 and spoke with XXXX, who said the {$25.00} late fee would show waived by XX/XX/23. On XX/XX/23 it was still not credited, so I called and spoke with XXXX XXXX ( or XXXX XXXX who said the late fee had not been waived, as it was ineligible for waiver, and she did not know why. On XX/XX/23 my next on time full balance payment of {$980.00} due on XX/XX/23 was posted. On XX/XX/23, my {$0.00} balance account was charged another interest of {$13.00} ; which they took out of my cash rewards. My call on XX/XX/23 to XXXX. XXXX XXXX, resulted in her saying she could not waive the charge, and that my account would continue to be charged interest for two more billing cycles of payments, even though there are no charges, and no balance due. This is the second time in the four years of having this account, that this default has occurred, last occurrence was in XXXX, but was corrected by the bank, but now they are refusing. This is an unacceptable, unscrupulous and seemingly illegal practice ; one that I have never before encountered in my excellent long and varied credit card experience. I am asking that the bank address this issue and be held responsible for its own error, and that my {$25.00} late fee, as well as the interest charge of {$13.00} on XX/XX/23 be credited to my account which is the only fair thing to do, as the payment posting late was not due to any fault of mine.
