Capital one called me so many times a day that I am completely overwhelmed and feel harassed that I dont even want to call them back. Consumer Complaint: I got an invitation to apply for a credit card through Capital One that said will not affect your credit score and after I had done it it in fact did affect my credit score by over XXXX points and I tried contacting them asking them why they said it would not affect my credit score and still to this day I can not get an answer. I've searched through trying to find a way to dispute it to no avail and I just need help to get this off my credit report and give me my score back that I had prior which was over XXXX finally. So any help would be very appreciated.. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: while I was away in Florida training from XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX for a XXXX career. When I returned home to start inquiring about buying a home back home in Georgia, I pulled my credit report to check status and notice a few accounts on my file I did not apply for. I called the companies on my credit report and they said that it was accurate. I told them that it was not me I was in Florida and that it had to a mistake. I talked with the loss mitigation department with each company, and each one informed me to file a report of identity theft and submit the required documentation to so that they can initiate an investigation and have my credit report updated.

Consumer Complaint: I started receiving emails from Capital One about a credit card account in early XXXX. I did not sign up for a credit card. I do not have an account with Capital One. I checked with my bank and credit reporting services to see if there might be a fraudulent use of my info. There was no fraudulent use of my personal info as far as we could tell. I called Capital One. We determined that someone with my same name, but a different middle name, had opened an account. They must have incorrectly entered their email address because all of the emails from Capital One are coming to my email ( XXXX ). On my first call with Capital One, which lasted more than an hour, I was bumped between departments 6 times until I was told that the issue was resolved and I would no longer receive these account emails. A few days later, I received more emails. These emails included login reset instructions, so I am worried about their security protocols and my information being exposed. I called Capital One again and was again on the phone for more than an hour being passed between departments. I was given to a supervisor. Again, I was told that the issue was resolved and I would no longer receive any emails. The emails continued. I called a third time, and was one the phone with a number of departments for 90 minutes. I spoke with another supervisor and was assured that the emails would stop. The emails are continuing and I am receiving emails about payments due, changes to credit reports, and account login changes. I have attached a sample of the emails I have received. I have received 51 emails in total.

Consumer Complaint: A CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD Account Ending in ; XXXX was opened with my acknowledgement Due, to being a victim of XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX breach these companies have allowed for multiple fraudulent accounts and inquires to be opened using my personal information including Capital One. 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2 a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that results from alleged Identity theft, not later than XXXX business days after the date of receipt. Capital One is denying me credit as well as they are still reporting this balance to collection agencies.
