Consumer Complaint: I deposited my husband payroll in the capital one account. My husband is a XXXX and his last paycheck of the year is always a live check. I deposited it on XX/XX/15, thinking since it is a payroll check that it would be released that day. Instead the placed a 8 day hold. I call to ask why my husbands payroll check was placed on that kind of hold. They said that there were concerns about the check????? What concerns, my husband is joint on the account, he signed the back of the check, and he has been employed there for 15 year. Again, told me that they would not be able to release because of concern in regards to the check. However, he was unable to tell me the concerns or anything other than he is unable to release the check because of some concerns. He also hung up on me when I was asking about the COD. This is ridiculous why are they always trying to not give me any of the funds that I deposited and the customer service is a joke! That can not help with anything at all and always tow the company line.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification from the Capital One app that an XXXX charge for XXXX was received. I called because I had not ordered anything with that card that day. I rarely use that card on XXXX. I was told they would issue a new card, that it was the virtual card that was used and they would open an investigation and would contact me for additional information. On XX/XX/XXXX I called because the charge was back on my card. The gentleman I spoke with told me because Id made charges in the past ( months earlier ) to XXXX they decided the charge was legitimate. They claimed I used the virtual card although my XXXX account shows the regular card number. He said he would investigate further. He called me later and left me a message to call back with questions. On XX/XX/XXXX I called again and asked what information was received from XXXX and was told that they verified that I had an account. I asked for a copy of the information received from XXXX which she said was my account with my address not the transaction. She refused. She also couldnt tell me if there was a transaction on my XXXX account which there was not. They do not want my documentation from my XXXX account and will not offer an appeal.
