Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I purchased a year subscription on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$32.00}. It was an AI app to use the premium features. After purchasing it kept asking to make another same payment. I thought my original payment never went through thats why I could not access the service. I checked the next day and I see the charge on my account so I again tried to log in and use the service and same thing it asked me to make a {$32.00} for the year subscription. I tried to contact the app customer service to resolve the issue but I never got a response. So I contacted the credit card company Capital One and reported the issue and asked to reverse the charge since I never used the app nor received any response from the app to refund my charge. I received the credit back on my card however, End of XXXX they reapplied the charge back to my account for a service I never received and the vendor will not respond. The case number filed with Capital One is XXXX. I do not know what to do since Capital One reapplied the fee and the vendor is none responsive and for a service I never received and have no access to. I followed the instructions on the dispute letter and never got a response from Capital One. I mailed the response per instruction, sometime in XXXX, I do not have a fax which was another option. I do not know why they make it so difficult.

Consumer Complaint: I paid off my capital one Mastercard in XXXX of XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed a charge from XXXX for {$9.00} on my card. I called XXXX and they said my phone number was coming up in their system as someone elses name ( name Ive never heard before ). I told them they are charging my account without permission, as I have never used XXXX. They suspended the account pending a review and told me I would have to notify Capital One and dispute the charges to get my money back. I called Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX and they cancelled that card, and mailed me a new card, and credited my account for all the charges that went back 8 months to XXXX of XXXX. They said they were going to look into it. I received my new card in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX and went online to activate it and noticed all the XXXX Charges were put back on my card the same day they were credited ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I called Capital One customer service and after 20 minutes of being transferred to 3 different departments and explaining my issue, I finally had someone tell me that Im outside the window for reporting the charges as fraudulent, and I have to call XXXX and deal with them directly. The Capital One ads and app all say they provide a fraud protection so you dont have to worry about paying for things in cases of fraud. Well this is fraud and it amounts to {$1800.00}. And they just stuck it to me and told me to figure it out. Since I already paid the balance off, there is nothing I can do to get a refund. Ive called XXXX and they are giving me the run around too. Seems like all the corporations got their money and Im stuck paying for the fraudulent activity. I told Capital One to close all my accounts immediately. After 20+ years of doing business with them and paying their high interest rates, they refuse to make things right over {$1800.00}. This proves that their fraud protection guaranty is as fraudulent as the fraudulent charges I was forced to pay.

Consumer Complaint: Capital one sent a email stating they closed my account on XX/XX/2023 all because I exercised my FDIC reg e rights and filed a dispute, they also stated I would have no use of my funds and have to wait 45 days for claim to complete. I sent a complaint to their complaint email on XX/XX/2023 expressing my concern that my right address needs to be confirmed Incase of a check sent due to severe financial hardship Caused by the dispute process and me living couch to couch not being able to afford my rent because I had no access to my funds. 47 days passed since I sent a complaint which I received a confirmation email and they failed to respond or even send me any type of email updating me on dispute process which at this point 45 days has well passed since I filed dispute. I called on XX/XX/2023 to get an update I was informed that all my claims were approved and that a check was processed on XX/XX/2023 and I should wait until 7-10 business days from that date and I then expressed that any day I will no longer be at the address they had because I was moving and the representative stated if you don't receive your check just call us back so on XX/XX/2023 I called and spoke with a manager stating I did not receive my check and that I changed my address she then proceeds to tell me that i may have to wait 90 days!! to receive a new!!! check and I'm just going to leave it at that! I have already been waiting 60 days for my funds that I was suppose to have access to anyway during the dispute process and you mean to tell me due to capital ones negligence and sending a cashier check with no tracking or confirmation of address and for them to know what could happen if check is not received I will possibly have to wait another 90 days which will equal out to almost half a year all from me exercising my rights! No way!! if I do not receive a replacement check within this next week I will be homeless and left with no choice but to take legal actions I have tried to reconcile with capital one multiple times and they just seem to not care about their customers so maybe their regulator has some sense and will step in and put them back on probation!
