Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act this creditor has violated my rights. 15 USC 1681 Section 602 states I have the right to privacy 15 USC 1681 SEction 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions. 15 USC 1666B : A creditor may not treat payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: Capital one fraudulently closed my account. I was waiting for capital 1 to take the money out my account they never took the funds I spoke with XXXX the supervisor prior before speaking to XXXX I myself another rep named XXXX XXXX verified with my bank that capital one never attempted to take a payment XXXX was the last person I spoke to and like the others he did verifies the same thing. I was told by XXXX that he was putting in a complaint to fix the problem. The next day I called my account was closed for none payment. Also they took XXXX plus points off my credit and flagged the account. On XXXX for capital one it say never a late payment

Consumer Complaint: On statement date XX/XX/2023 the interest rate was 22.65 % for the current charges subject to a balance of {$110.00} On statement date XX/XX/2023 the interest rate was raised to 22.90 % on the same charges subject to a balance of {$120.00}. Event though there weren't any additional charges the balance subjected to interest was raised. There was not any additional charges. A noticed was not given informing of the increase of the interest rate. Payment had been made and the actual owed balance went down.

Consumer Complaint: Good morning. I am trying to fix an error on my Capital One account. There are a few late payments occurred from 2018 and a couple months for due to a car accident and I was financially struggling and could not pursue any payments on credit cards. Same time around XXXX. I was laid off for a few months due to the pandemic and I had another late payment or XXXX. Since then I have never missed a credit card payment. Ive been in good standing for a few years now. I reached out to Capital One for assistance and was failed to have anything pursued to be fixed.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 a phone call to me was made by a scammer posing as a capital one employee stating my account was attacked. They were in my account already telling me about charges that were made. They were able to do a wire to a fake, made up person and capital one did the wire over the phone. The amount of the wire was {$20000.00} dollars sent to a XXXX XXXX at a XXXX XXXX. THEY TOLD CAPITAL ONE THAT IT WAS TO MY BROTHER. I DO NOT HAVE A BROTHER. This info I got from capital one bank.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One is my bank. I use their bill pay and have had problems with them getting the monies to the payee in a timely fashion. I realize that some of the companies need to have checks written which is absurd in this day and age. The latest incident involved my bill pay to XXXX. The money was taken out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX but was not received by XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. That is a total of 22 days that I did not have use of my money and XXXX was not paid. When I paid the bill I was given a confirmation that the bill/check was to be received by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Needless to say the bill was past due by this point. Who had and where was my money during this time period? I feel that Capital One uses these delays in bill payments to balance their books and meet their cash reserves. This is done at a detriment to their clients and is an unfair practice.

Consumer Complaint: Hello good morning I have been trying to resolve an account that was opened fraudulently with Capital One for over a year now. They had removed the account and they added it back to my credit report stating that it was in fact me. I have sent police reports and mailed personal statements to the credit bureaus and Capital One stating that I have no knowledge of this account and that it was opened without my consent. I have disputed multiple accounts unfortunately because my personal information was stolen from me. A police report was made and the date is listed with the attached file. I have since put credit locks on my account and have done everything within my power to prevent this from occurring again. I have asked Captial One what proof that they have that was in fact me opening this account and they refuse to let me know. A woman stated " They can not tell me because of privacy '' I have had a XXXX number for over 8 years now. That doesn't make sense.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a plastic door bin for my refrigerator. I ordered it online and paid XXXX the amount of {$120.00}. The item arrived broken. I returned the item to merchant, see attached return receipt. XXXX refused to refund or replace the item. I filed a dispute with credit card co. XXXX claimed that I received the item in good condition. Credit card XXXX denied my dispute. Why would I return an item if I received it in good Condition '' and how would merchant know the condition of the item that I received. The plastic door bin arrived broken. It was packaged improperly. I don't have a door bin and merchant has my money. My credit card company has refused to make this right.
